Happy with midfield and defence but would of prefered Mata Torres Sturridge as the front 3.

I know a lot of Chelsea fans will not agree with me but I truly think Mikel is pretty poor. He is slow, not that great defensively, and sometimes it just seems like he isn't interested. With Essien also on the decline, what Chelsea really need is a good DM imo.

I've never been fully convinced but a lot of people like him. Saying that, we've seen him in that position a hundred times and normally he'd calmly distibute the ball under pressure.

Those are probably his strong points i.e. composure, strength, and passing. But still, I think AVB should try out David Luiz in that role for a while.
 
The problem I have with Luiz there is that I can see him making the kind of mistake Mikel just made alot.

I'd quite like to see him at Right back.
 
They've all look a bit iffy. Mata has looked sharp but has touched the ball 5/6 times all game, he's drifting inside a lot so the ball ends up with Ivanovich all the time. Iva just puts a cross in rather than returning it to Mata who's normally moved into some space.

I am ******* sick of our ****** defence. A good second half ruined by more **** poor defending. Premier league and champions league contenders? With defending like that I dont think so.
