Nasty one for Frank there - why do cameramen insist on trying to get every little detail on camera?

I was worried for a minute there with JT. Now it's not looking great for Cole, or Cech.

We deserved to be winning up until about 60th minute in the 2nd. After that we were woeful; not that we were good before 60th min, but Wigan weren't posing a threat.

all over twitter that it was a cech mistake

was it?

Yes.

If I may say so, I think AvB got the subs all wrong.

You may, but I think that they made sense, but the subs played pretty poor. Kalou was the best out of them, but he didn't really do anything special, but at least he tried unlike some (Drogba).

not for the first time this season i ask:"what are you thinking avb?"

I don't think he had much choice.. The first change was good, the second made sense, but was too negative for my liking, and the third made sense because Malouda offers more defensively, but Malouda was (for a change) poor.

Cech's fault for the goal. completely.

But AVB got ALL subs wrong, no doubt.

****.

Torres should have came on at half time for Drogba, or even Malouda with Sturridge leading the line.
Drogba didn't do anything all game.
We were far too complacent. We could have, and should have won the game easily, whether we had the amount of possession we did or not. We won 3-0 against Valencia with 34% of the ball. The tempo of our play was too slow, too.
Cech's fault, yes, but we didn't deserve to win the game. The players expected the chances to come and forgot they had to create them. We were just arrogant.

I beg to differ. While the first sub was of a more offensive nature and arguably wasn't that bad as Kalou was responsible for at least two of your chances, the other two sbustitutions were clearly defensive in a match you were dominating. Instead of trying to score another one he tried to hold on to a thin lead against a much weaker team, and you were punished for it. The last two subs gave Wigan the space and momentum they needed.

Wigan were bringing on two attacking players when Mikel came on, should AVB have left Meireles and Lampard to defend against them? And same goes for the last one - Sturridge isn't going to offer a lot defensively and we were penned back.
