Imo, yes, he should've tried to score a few more goals. You don't substitute off your most creative and arguably your best player to bring in a holding midfielder.

If anything he could've taken one of either Lampard or Meireles off.

//Edit - And you were penned back because you never, not once, tried to get forward after the goal. That's what you got wrong, Wigan grew bolder because you let them.

Really? I didn't know that it's their job...I can understand them aiming a camera at him to see what's wrong, but after that they don't need to go right up to his face.
 
Not sure that there was a concrete 'mega money' offer on the table from Chelsea to be honest.

Shows Vargas' class that he was such hot property the deal is tied up 2 weeks before the window opens, another great coup for DeLa.

Lavezzi will be in the window in January, those who know DeLa know he can't help but mention how 'silly' his £31 million release clause is every time he speaks.

Guarin's agent has said Porto are looking to move him on and besides Italian interest I can see a couple of PL clubs being interested in him probably Chelsea. I do think that Vargas will do well, get the feeling PL clubs have missed a trick once again with their reluctance to sign straight from South America which is very frustrating.
 
Reading on the internet that Neymar could join us for £45m... I thought it was over.. i thought it was RM.
 
Neymar to Chelsea wont happen if Real Madrid or Barcelona come in for him which they are expected to do so according to Spanish sources.
 
Don't underestimate Wigan! We deserved 3 points, Chelsea were woeful! Why did AVB take Sturridge off when he was basically your only threat? :S I knew Wigan would continue their form, now for Liverpool! Bring 'em on!

Right fellow cfc fans need some help. It's my birthday next month on the 12th and my dad said he will get me tickets to either the game v Pompy in the cup or Sunderland in the league. I am stuck as I would like to see some youngsters live for the first time such as Lukaku but I also feel the same about the newer first teamers such as Juan Mata.

And your ground was about half full, I think I even saw one Wigan 'Fan' playing on a nintendo DS?? We brought our whole away ticket allocation, and out sung you until your team scored at almost full time.

You didn't outsing us at all! And you didn't fill your allocation at all! I should know, being sat in the ground.. Anyway, it doesn't matter, Chelsea played tash.
