I think, in general, you will always adhere to players at your own club, even if they are mahooosive *****. In the past, Newcastle have had players like Joey Barton, who is a complete bell, but while they are at your club, you love them for the pure fact that they give 110% week in, week out for your club.
While I agree with you, trying to argue the fact with someone that is notoriously bias towards Chelsea, it won't do anything. Granted, Terry has been far from a good role-model off the field, and even sometimes on the field, but from a Chelsea fans point of view, you can see why he is a legend at the club, and why most, if not all, Chelsea fans love him. I think it's hard to say 'no one else will play like JT did today, after having a similar week', because quite simply, most footballers don't have to go through a week like Terry has, and that's a good thing, based on the fact that they didn't do something cuntish to be warranting the abuse in the first place.
And, on another note, I would much rather my wife cheated on me with a team-mate than my brother lol.
