Might actually have a point, lets face Terry basically wants to be manager. Would be hilarious to watch.

Its obviously something he wants to do in the future and i believe he has done some of his coaching. Not sure about hilarious as who knows what would happen.

A video from a lad i know on Facebook. He is very good at complination videos.

3-4 years time, maybe, when he has cut his teeth somewhere. But now? I cant help but feel it would be a comedy of errors

I dunno, the media seem to think he runs the football club anyway and has done for years so they couldnt say anything about lack of experience.

He runs it, indeed. He is our on and off the pitch leader. Nothing funny I can see. I'd be extremely happy if we appointed him at the end of the day.

Really? You would want John Terry as manager? Someone who has no actual managerial experience, please tell me you are joking?

John Terry could be manager with an experienced sporting director/Director of football. Mark Hughes' 1st job was at Wales and arguably Club is easier than country.

If I could have a choice my managerial staff would be as follows:
Manager: Jose Mourinhio; nobody beats him
*** Manager: Steve Clarke/Ray wilkins
with JT as Player/Coach

What I think will happen:
Manager: Benitez or if Di Matteo does a good job
and the backroom staff would be either Benitez's ****** people or Di Matteo and other Chelsea people.

What I really want is Chelsea fans/ ex players for the Chelsea jobs because or Chelsea lack is passion and a few gaps in some places i.e Energy in midfield, and right back after that all we need is passion and organization

He has experience at running the club, THIS club, the same club which hes been playing at since 98, so no, Im not joking.

Abramovich, is that you?

Sorry man, but I just can't believe you want Terry as manager, he has been a very good player for Chelsea, no doubt about that, but wanting him to manage the club and take charge.. seems far-fetched.

Your opinion.

JT said that he would want managerial experience before being Chelsea manager. Said something about not wanting his inexperience to spoil the chances of success, or something along those lines. I think anyway, but I know for fact that he said that he wants some sort of coaching experience before coaching/managing the first team - he mentioned working with the youth (I presume he means U18's) then stepping up to the first team.

There was a time when people were saying the same thing about Guardiola.

Pep worked with the youth and reserve sides, bedding a lot of the style of play he would then use for the first team. Unless Terry does that first, there isnt a comparison

He did, but lets be honest, as experiences go, coaching some kids is so far from managing the first team, most people never even make the transition. And then coaching some random first team, is just as far from coaching Barcelona. It'd be pretty hard to argue that he had any coaching experiences at all, other than those acquired as a player and a captain, that would prepare him for challenge of this size.

On the contrary he knew his future players inside out, he didnt just coach some kids, he coached his future side, he helped focus these many of these players into who they are today, and he was already an astute tactician and scholar of the game, plus a barcelona legend. So you have: excellent knowledge of players + astute tactical plan + respect of players, and when you add the fact he had some of the best talents in the world, no surprise his success.

The knowledge of being a succesful reserve coach can have a massive effect. Luis Enrique did the same and is at Roma, Solskjaer was United reserve manager, and now took Molde to their first ever title.
