It's not doing great, don't compare it to a relatively unsuccessful season for everyone else. Also no way you can say you can be sure you would be 4th if you have only the league to concentrate on.
The fact that you rely on aging stars and have little depth is the fault of the club, something that's been pointed out for 3 season now. When SAF said the squad was too old, he was pointing out the fact that there was no next generation, no variation in the age group.
Its easy saying players need to be sold and bought, and the managers office needs be sorted. Actually doing it its much tougher.
Youth Cup means little unless the players actually make it into the first team. That's how you judge the success of your youth, those who get into your first team, or go on into the first team of other sides.
It's not about just the positives, its about the big picture.
fair enough I stand corrected. I am not saying that I dont blame the club for our **** squad depth or ageing squad. I am just merely pointing out the fact that we have done pretty darn well regardless.
And yes I agree that its hard to bring in the right manager and stick with him or buy and sell players.. The good thing is that its something Roman seems to have understood, Its the step in the right direction.
And I agree that the success of Youth depends on how many actually make it into the first-team. Again I am just merely saying that we have the players who can be in the first-team in our Youth. Thats really the most important thhing.
