Truly mighty composure from Torres. It's good to see him back.

One goal under no pressure from defence, albeit huge pressure from knowing if he doesn't score he may have doomed Chelsea, and he's back?
A few more goals then sure.

Anyone think Matteo should be given the job FT regardless of wether or not they win the final? He's given a dam good account of himself thus far imo

One goal under probably one of the highest pressure situations you can get.

I'm not saying he's back on the basis of tonight. I've been saying it for a few games now, and tonight is just further proof.

£50 Million well spent now? lol

Well, some would argue yes...

Actually you may joke, but think about what Chelsea will get from revenue from the TV money in the CL final. As silly as it sounds, this could pay for a lot of Torres cost, although agreed it wasn't him who actually "made" the win happen, it was the defence.

I had considered that obviously. Its just it wasn't so long ago, everyone was crucifying the guy- that's what I found more funny.

Edit: On another note, I think Jose will be very pleased with this outcome, his old club beating Barca a couple of days after he did. Also if he wins the CL and the league, it really does cement his place as one of the best of all time.

Im pleased Chelsea did this, good advert for English football!
As a Leeds fan I feel obliged to point out, 3 months ago Di Matteo was bookies favourite to take over at Elland Road after Grayson was sacked! Now he has taken Chelski through to the champions league final! What a change in stature his season has taken!

Just came home and saw the result . I'm extremely happy for quite a number of reasons .One of them being because Fernando Torres scored, another is that I feel Chelsea are deserved winners and the other being that even if Madrid do beat Bayern and progress to the final, there will be no El Classico final . I am also happy because Di Matteo pulled off something that much people didn't think his Chelsea would be able to do. Congrats Chelsea!

I always knew Chelsea could do it. Their defence was a brick wall and no matter what happens now, they can go to the Final with their heads held high. They were brilliant tonight, they frustrated Barca and their defence was similar to Inters in 2010. RDM got his tactics spot on. John Terry, what on earth was he thinking, it was absolutely stupid to do what he did. There was no excuse for it and now he is going to miss the chance to CAPTAIN Chelsea in the Final. Sillyness. Big players going to be missed though for the final. Well done you lot, fully deserved and you are doing the English proud. Wenger & Ferguson, THAT is how you play against Barca.

Did anyone see Shreeves tell Ivanovic that he wasn't going to make the final? Why do you do that? You have just created history by beating Barcelona in the strangest of ways (red card, 2-0 down etc), nice way to ruin his joy! ****.
