No, the case is not until July.

How can you possibly know how Pearce is going to play? He has took charge for one game which we lost and he played Cahill in the back 2 so you can't just guess these things. If England want to do anything at this tournament then my opinion is you need to play the best players and at this current moment in time both Terry and Cahill together are England's strongest pairing.

I never said i did,but he last 4 games England have tried to play with a higher line, hence the word seemed.

And that second part is entirely false, you build coherent plan and then you put your players in. For one Lescott and Jags have been excellent when together for England, so not really sure Where Terry and Cahill come in.

So no he isnt necessarily Englands best defender, it entirely depends on how we playing.

Which depends on who the manager is.

But 3 of the last 4 games were managed by someone who is not there any more so you can't use them in your argument. Like I say Pearce has had one game and lost it and had no real time to decide things etc. Surely having 3 of the back 5 who have played together well this season (JT, Cahill and Cole) will be a good thing so lets play too their strengths.

Yes i can, because the next manager may continue play a higher line or, he may not. Pearce may push on with his line, or he may not. Hence the idea of not necessairily, its all dependent. And the latter doesnt matter. Lescott Jags and Cole have played equally well together for England. And even then is not just about the defence, its about the whole team. You cant just say so and so is the best defender without taking into account the overall approach. Pearce likes a 4-2-3-1, and during his under 21 qualifiers he liked a higher line, and it was still relatively high during the tournament. If he keeps that approach, then Jags and Lescott are a better fit than Terry and Cahill, who excel in a deeper line. That's assuming he is the next manager.

I fully understand that but in my opinion having Cole, Cahill and JT in the back 5 playing as they do at Chelsea can only be a positive thing for England.

Not if we want to play a higher line, allowing us a better platform of attack. Then that CB pairing is actually more of a hinderance. All depends on how we play.

First we need to pick a ****** manager, sigh.

Don't even get me started with the last bit you posted lol, its a joke. The FA could have prevented this from happening by agreeing with what the manager asked i.e innocent until proven guilty. That or ban him completely, just taking the armband off him is petty but just what is expected by our FA. I don't think we are good enough to play a high line, why not just play a deep line with players who know how to do it and ****** do it well and see where it takes us.

We're good enough, but we dont actually realise this, and repeatedly fail to pick the one player who can make it work (Carrick).

To be honest, it doesnt matter what we play, if we dont take Carrick and/or Scholes (i'd take both) we're not gonna do well. Wilshere is out, Thudd is still injured. We dont have many possession based central mids left.

I agree you need a possession player and someone who can tackle too along side him.

Scholes would be a massive boost for England.

Carrick and Parker.

As long as there is no squad dischord i would take terry probably, but i wouldnt say he wasnt our best defender outright.

If we are playing a deeper line ala Chelsea then JT is our best centre back still for me. His heading, blocking and reading of the game is sensational. If Scholes wants to go then Scholes and Parker would be immense.

So Bayern it is then, would rather play them as they have some big players out too even if they are at home. I BELIEVE!!!!!!!

Lol... what the **** just happened?

on the other hand, I feel sorry for Jose. I love the man, but this is football, and my team is still there, so if I want a bigger chance of winning the CL, I must want Jose's teams out of there.

So Bayern it is then. A hard final at Allianz Arena.
