I would be ecstatic if both of them arrive however the most we can expect is only one of them. Still those 2 would really make us a force to be reckoned with next season. We will have to see.

I think IF we won the CL, I think we would have a chance of signing both.

Its more about the money though mate. Both players will cost in excess of 70m... I dont mind spending 40m on Modric but would rather prefer we went for a cheaper option in the attacking department. As the Marin transfer showed, their is a lot of value in the market if the club wants to find it

Well im afraid there is no many cheaper players available that are that good. Moura will be at least 25+ (?) not sure. I like Muniain a lot, but I doubt they will sell. Eriksen is a decent player, cheap option, but I doubt he will join us and we know why. Lavezzi will be at least 20+ , Gotze aint coming for sure.

Cant think of many classy cheap players. Maybe Roman will keep things quite and surprise us like he did with Marin.

and to be honest, 70 mil for 2 very very good players, players that will improve us A LOT, is not much imo. Hazard has potential of being one of the best players in the world.

We have De Bruyne also, lets not forget.

I agree with this part. Both Hazard and Modric would improve us a lot but there are players like Willian out there who wont cost too much but would still do the job. Cavani is another interesting player, would be the perfect replacement for Drogba and would eat defences alive but I suppose Lukaku will be given his shot

I actually think Falcao would be the perfect replacement for Drogba, everytime I have seen Falcao he has looked much better than Cavani. Not saying he would be easy to get from At.Madrid by any means, but Roman usually does not hold back to get the players he wants.

If Chelsea win the CL and Tottenham fail to qualify for it, Modric will leave. They stated last year that they wouldn't be able to keep hold of him this year if they fail to qualify for the CL.

Not sure why you lot think you'll be able to get Modric for 40m, we rejected that much last summer. I cant see you going any higher, and it doesn't look like we'll sell.

If you dont get CL you will be under more pressure to sell from other clubs, just because you refused it once doesnt mean you will do so again, especially when its clear Modric has been going though the motions and is largely below his own excellent standards. Bale has already said he would have to sit down and think. Levy is never going to say otherwise.
Indeed you could actually end up losing him for less, bit like Arsenal did with Fabregas.

Err if you can find me where this was said then it would be quite nice.

Very different to Fabregas, he was only ever going to leave for Barca, so they were in the driving seat with the price. We've got Modric for another 4 years I believe, so we're in no position to sell. Yes Modric wasn't playing well for a period, but very few of our players actually were, and Modric has been much better recently. He was back to his best against Bolton.

Not sure about Willian. Doesnt seem to be that good.

zzeezzy got it spot on. Falcao >>>> Cavani. If I had to choose - definitely Falcao.

Not that different, because the clubs interested will have roughly the same ceiling, only wages will sort where he goes. No getting away from the fact that without CL you will find it much harder to hold onto him. 4 years only gives you a higher selling point, and not losing him for peanuts.

The portuguese referee Pedro Proença will be the referee of the Champions League Final this year.

If he treats the blue team as he treats the blue team from here, and treats the red team as he treats the red team from here, then don't despair because your victory is quite assured!

Exactly he might have been able to keep hold of Modric for one more season but if Spurs again fail to obtain CL football then the transfer by and large will be inevitable

Now that the EPL is done and dusted with, time to turn our focus to another date which is May 19th. European Glory awaits.. hopefully

I just hope RDM select the best XI possible for that game, and not select players because of their names but because how good their current form is. Seriously, this game will/can decide a lot of things for our future.

what would your line ups be for munich? mine would be if these players are availible:

Cech
Bosingwa Cahill Luiz Cole
Mikel Lampard
Sturridge Mata Kalou
Drogba
