You just dont know what you are talking about, but its not just you. Saying Mikel is poor just goes to show your lack of football knowledge. Mikel has been one of our most consistent players over the years. You cannot say Mikel is poor, its just wrong.
You have no better alternatives to Mikel to play that position, that does not make him a good player, it just proves how badly your squad needs revamping. Lets end it here because you will always be protective over Mikel.
zzeezzy, u must be pretty new too football. just because chelsea dnt play pretty football does not mean they are anti-football. its about tactics. Mikel is one of the most consistent DMs in the BPL. Romeu has earned great plaudits for his performance, so before you go talking about these players, know them first

Haha, I'm not protective dude. Have you watched Chelsea in the past? Mikel has been selected over Essien, even though Essien has been 100% fit. Mikel is one of the best at what he does, he is not a regista and you cannot compare him to Carrick, but Mikel has been good for us.
I think you are mixing me up with someone else, I never said Mikel or Chelsea are anti-football I just do not rate him as much as Chelsea fans seem to.
Yes I have watched them, I do not rate Mikel personally but lets leave it there, you can't really compare Mikel to an Essien in his prime (he has lost his game now, due to injuries etc). I never once compared him to Carrick either by the way.

Obi Mikel is not a bad player. He's good at what he does, and isn't very good at what he doesn't. He's strong, a good tackler and an exceptional short passer. He ISN'T a regista, and he isn't dynamic. It's very easy to forget that he's still only 25, and he plays well in a role that rewards maturity.

He never said anythings about Mikels performances, just that he is playing as much because Essien isnt fit, which is true, Essien is the superior player, though I think his time is up. He was pointing out that Mikel has been relatively limited as a player, though how much of that is down to the role us up for question. Mikel has been good, he is a good player, but not one of the most consistent holding players in the league. Romeu has earned plaudits, and then slipped down the order

Exactly. And he can keep the ball very very well. He rarely loses possession of the ball, and if he does, it's often not entirely his fault.

I really don't know, they seem very similar and effective in the role they play.
I dont get your argument at all. Just because a coach was successfull with one club does not mean his managerial style is correct. At Porto he had a talented group of players well suited to his system who were underperforming. In my opinion his job at Porto was far easier considering the quality he had in the team
And I dont mind dropping Mikel. You justify his dropping well enough. What I do criticize is how AVB handled the dropping. He refuses to tell his players why they have been dropped and he had no communication whatsoever with them. The fact that players like Mata and Ramires have also came out and said this certainly puts a different perspective on the matter. Zeb commented on the matter in the Liverpool thread a while back that people may not like to work with AVB because he has a reputation for being distant, aloof and arrogant
Also your last paragraph was a nice parting blow to Chelsea. One which made no sense whatsoever well except the part that we are trigger happy with managers

I think that zzeezy you totally misintepreted my argument... I was not arguing whether Mikel was a good player or not. I was merely stating that the way AVB would drop players without telling them why and would effectively close down all lines of communication between him and the player was very strange. Ifs thats how he wanted to run things... in a dictator ship style then he should have aged a few years and won more trophies before coming to Chelsea rather than come in with 2 seasons worth of experience
How did it make no sense? It is the truth that if RDM got another season at Chelsea and achieved nothing he would be fired. Like loads of other top quality managers Roman has hired and fired. How you can deny it makes sense is beyond me to be honest. Oh and the bit at the end about AVB having six months to try and build something new at Chelsea was true as well as he ended up getting sacked. Explain how none of it makes sense please? Or are you just trying to look away from the truth again.

AVB was not sacked because he could not build anything at Chelsea in 6-7 months, he was sacked because he had completely lost the dressing room due to his ruthless managerial style even players like Mata,Ramires etc. apparently. He was never going to be sacked if he ended up trophyless for the season but he had to finish Top 4 and get CL football which he failed at as well
You seem to be thinking that every manager who goes trophyless is sacked at Chelsea. Then obviously if that was the case then Roman would have waited till the end of the season considering we still had a chance to win 2 trophies and then seeing if we won a trophy.
