Where the **** would Muller fit for Chelsea? His best position is behind the striker like Mata/Hazard, on the flanks he is far, far less effective and is no where near as accomplished there, so Hulk would be a better signing due to him being much more suited to the right flank rotating option with Ramires. Muller at Chelsea would be competing with Mata for that no.10 position, you don't need him.

Muller was awful when played behind the striker in the final, he was far more effective when he moved out wide. The Chelsea front line needs to be fluid and interchanging.

McEachran needs to develop the defensive side of his game massively before he is ready to be starting in the pivot.

You might be right although I just think it suicidal to bring Josh into the fold so early. Not sure about Bolton, Kakuta did not get much game time there.

And yes as for Kakuta, he too should be loaned next season although future not looking bright for him. Flopped at Bolton for whatever reason and did not do much for Djion either. Him along with PVA have been massively disappointing this season. Especially when you compare them to the progress made by players such as Kalas, Bruma, Piazon, Bertrand etc.

Kakuta said he doesn't want to be loaned out. He was impressive in patches for Dijon, and proved that he is the talent we all thought. He also said that he doesn't want to go back to Ligue 1. We have a plan ready for him, apparently. I hope we use him as backup to the attacking midfield trio. He's good enough, and with playing time (substitute apps, cup games, occasional start) he will progress a lot. At Bolton, and Fulham last season, he was never one of their worst players, but for some reason he hardly ever played. Given the chance, I know Kakuta can be good enough to be backup, and in a couple of years challenging the starting XI (though he'll probably fall short of them).

PvA is another strange one. At Wigan he didn't play bad. Played a few games at the start of the season, but then was pretty much frozen out. Don't think he got on well with a number of people at Wigan (coaching staff). While Bertrand has impressed me this season, and I can understand why people think he'll be better than PvA in the future (and now), but for me, I still see PvA as the one with the most potential. At Vitesse he's been in and out, not playing amazingly, but putting in a couple of good performances. Couple of bad ones, too though. I hope to see him at a PL club next year on loan, playing every year, but finding him a club that will play him could be difficult.

Kakuta, if a good loan offer comes in, where he'll be sure to get games - preferably in PL - then I'd take them up on it.

Whether Josh is loaned out next season or not all depends on who comes and goes. I couldn't possibly say now, as we're in the dark as to who will be leaving. I'd like Lamps to stay, but he'd be on the bench if it was down to me. Would love to see him go off to MLS. That way, I can watch him play week in week out, and we won't have to play against them. If we only bring in 1 CM (or none), I'd keep Meireles, let Essien go, let Malouda go(I know he's not a CM, but I'll put him in this category regardless), let Benayoun go (be very surprised if he doesn't), and let Lamps go if the right offer came in (not money, but team). But, if Meireles went, then so be it. I feel he has quite a bit to offer as a rotation option, though, as he can play DM, CM, CAM, but not only different positions, different roles, too; regista, no. 6, no. 10, box-to-box. Now I'm not saying he's amazing in those roles, but he can play them all if needed. Could be pushed left AM, or right AM too, if absolutely needed. Doubt those positions will be lacking in backup options though.

And I leave on one final point (for now). The talk of lack of leadership if Lampard leaves is not really true. Sure we'll lose out on a vocal player, but vocal players aren't always needed. We have Terry obviously who is a very vocal player, and an amazing leader, but now we have Čech, Ivanović, David Luiz, Cahill, Cole who I feel could all step up to be leaders. Čech has proved that, and if Lamps leaves, I could even see someone like Mikel turn into a good leader. People see him as a very laid back character, and perhaps quieter, but if he's left as the most experienced player in the usual midfield, I could see him becoming a more serious character. He's at the right age too. Plus, all his pals could well be leaving (Drogba and Kalou gone, Essien could go, same for Malouda). Also, if we get Modrić as you're all mentioning, he's an experienced player who has captained Spurs in the past, and maybe Zagreb and Croatia, too, though I'm not sure about that. Not saying he would be a vice-captain or anything (straight away), but he would offer leadership skills.

That's true, but that's where he belongs, IMO. He doesn't lack effort defensively though, but ATM attackers get around him too easily. It's very uncommon that a player of his type (deep-lying playmaker - good passing, creative, composed etc.) are that good defensively at his age.

I understand that and I'm sure it is something he will improve on, but I think people expect too much of him and want him to be in the team too soon. He's only 19 and has plenty of time to develop before he is a member of the starting XI and hopefully a world class regista.

Looks great. Very neat look and easy on the eye. Great away kit for next season

Really nice, I might get this one. I already have the home kit so i'm not sure lol

More rumours today that RDM will be given the Chelsea job. Not the best choice but a good decision when you consider that we do not really have other options and this will obviously be a popular decision among fans and players alike.

And who knows? Maybe RDM will prove to be a great long-term manager

I would prefer the old fashioned yellow kit but this is very good looking.

Let's just hope he has plans in place, we already know Drogba, Kalou and Bosingwa are on their way out so that is a start for him.

He will probably be working in tandem with Emeleano. Same system as AVB. Emeleano to focus on signing prospect players who are not first-team standard yet with input from Di Matteo and RDM to focus on bringing in players that slot directly into the first-team.

I am going to give the RDM managerial rumours more credence because Dan Levene has said it and Levene is well-sourced and a respected writer

Tbh while most people criticize the way we handle transfers with a DOF in place, I think it s a good idea as long as your DOF is a good spotter of Youth talent. It allows the manager to focus solely on improving the first team without having to divide his attention by scouting out prospects. Obviously this also relies heavily on a good understanding between the manager and DOF on the type of players they want etc.

Yer i know Lavene and follow him on twitter. Like you say it can work if the manager and DOF have the same ideas and there is a lot of contact between them. I am more than willing to let Di Matteo have a proper crack at this job as i stated right from the start.

Heavily hinges on what he has in mind to take the club forward. But Emeleano seems to be a good DoF and it seems like he will work well with RDM

Also Victor Moses said he would not turn down a move to Chelsea. I would not mind him tbh. Sort of signing with very little downside as he will be fairly cheap and a huge upside.

Someone who impressed me a lot last season, would count as English and wouldn't mind being a bit part player. Basically a younger possible upgrade of Salomon Kalou lol.

Agreed. At that sort of fee I would snap him up but the club is probably looking to slot in more established players on the wings. Would be pleasantly surprised if we went for Moses though

Me too because it seems the logical thing to do lol. I was surprised more sides in England were not trying to get Hoilett!!
