i heard that too. Porto are playing hardball over Hulk and quoting too high a price.. Jovetic would be a better transfer in my opinion due to age and cost. He is also incredibly versatile
Actually, I changed my mind. I would prefer Jovetic more now. Still we have Torres and Lukaku and with the departure of Drogba I would like to see Lukaku get the chance. I am sure he will have great succes.

I hope Torres will bring his goal scoring ability with him from the EFC to Chelsea next season.

I must admit i have seen more of Hulk than Jovetic in the last 2 years but i genuinely don't mind if we don't get any of them. A front 4 of Hazard, Ramires, Mata and Torres would tear defences to shreds. Let's not forget we have Marin, Kakuta (who want's to prove himself at Chelsea now), Malouda (if he stays) and Sturridge (if he stays) who can provide back-up too.

Chelsea have signed 13 year old goalkeeper Jared Thompson from Swindon for 3M.

Oh, what a surprise, he's building on a connection first established by the moronic Daniel Taylor.

Ramires won ESPN Brasil's 'Futebol No Mundo' award given to the best foreign based Brazilian player beating off competition from Thiago Silva, Hulk, Marceloa and Lucas etc.

For me Ramires is one of the best players in Europe. No one quite like him as a player in Europe

Bit too far, his work rate is second to none no doubt about that but he is by far the complete package in the midfield, but he does offer something different. Problem with Ramires is where to play him, probably on the wings but his passing ability is limited.

Ramires is a quality player, maybe not the Best in Europe, but definitely up there. He must have been very determined to keep going when we were 2-0 down against Barca, and he is composed when he lobbed Valdes, it's not just his physical side.

Not far at all IMO. He can play on the wings in a 4-2-3-1 where his pace, finishing and stamina makes him a really effective player both on attack and in defence. Although his best position is in the central midfield in a 4-3-3 ideally beside a regista where he is given the freedom to attack and overload the flanks and we saw this when he scored quite a few goals under AVB

Some rumours on Twitter suggesting Di Matteo will bring in Marcel Desailly as a defensive coach, what a great move that will be!
