Eh? He has adjusted pretty well to English football. At Barcelona he was not even getting any games and thats why they farmed him out like they did Bojan not without including buy-back clauses in the contract.

Point is that Chelsea are right now building a team and he is very much a big part of that. He has not had any problems adjusting to the culture and as I have said, he has Spanish players around him who have been taking care of him. He is also going to get much more games at Chelsea than he will at Barcelona.

He is obviously a Barcelona fan and I would not begrudge him a move. Just saying you should not compare this with the Fabregas transfer

It is not the same as Fabregas, Although what i meant was if Barca are willing to pay that now, it shows Romeu they want him at the club...

As a barca fan, a spanish person it would be hard to turn down.. It wouldnt be a huge loss anyway imo

Apparently Inter Sporting Director Marco Branca will be in London on Thursday and Friday to negotiate with Chelsea over Maicon and hopefully seal the transfer. This is according to Milan-based journalist Tancredi Palmeri

Internacional President Giovanni Luigi has confirmed of our interest in Oscar. No word on whether a deal has been reached though although that looks it will be done according to Oscar's agent in the next few days. Doubt the transfer will be concluded any time soon as Oscar is training with the Brazil Olympic squad and I doubt he will be able to leave to do a medical, agree personal terms etc.

Bayern Leverkusen have refused to shut the door on the Andre Schurrle transfer. According to their sporting director Wolfgang Holzhauser Leverkusen 'came to the conclusion we would be unable to sign an adequate and affordable replacement for Andre Schurrle' although 'ruling anything out at any point in time'

I doubt this transfer will happen unfortunately. But perhaps De Bruyne could be sent on loan to Leverkusen as a sweetener... Could work out

Also Werder Bremen are interested in taking Lukaku and De Bruyne on loan. De Bruyne mainly because Marin has left them for us and Lukaku because they don't really have quality strikers

it clearly is.

I think our business on the market will be finished once we've signed a RB (Maicon?) and Oscar (or Modric?). We will have some squad next season!!!

AVB admitted Modric is in discussions with clubs on a possible transfer. But since the Oscar deal is looking so likely and I am pretty sure we are buying him to convert him into a CM, doubt Modric will come

Also I am pretty sure we will remain in the market for Schurrle. If the transfer window has told us anything, it is that Chelsea are actively looking to sign a winger who can also add depth to the striker position- Hulk and Schurrle fit this category. Really excited about Schurrle if he comes...

Schurrle is a fantastic dribbler with an excellent long-range shot. Decent crossing abilities. Willingly tracks back to defend. Pretty good speed and acceleration. Can hold his own against defenders. Very good work-rate.

Fits the type of wingers RDM prefers so no suprise we have been linked with him. Would willingly take him over Sturridge mainly because he offers all that Sturridge does and has the added bonus of being a hard-worker who will track back happily

Doubt Oscar was bought as that winger. He can play on the wings but lacks top-end speed and crossing to really play a major role there. Much better in the centre with the freedom to link up with the attack.

Oscar, Schurrle and Maicon would be good additions. Would still take Modric over Oscar any day though

hopefully Sturridge would want to leave if we got Schurrle or another winger. He will be like 4th choice winger. Or at least in my books.

Squad numbers announced for new arrivals:

De Bruyne to take 14

Marko Marin will take 21

Eden Hazard will take 17 (So much for demanding the No.10 shirt)

Not the shirt, the position no.10 role, but he probz won't get that, Mata is better there.

I think oppossing fans will have different ideas-especially on Derby match days. This could rumble on quite a while off the pitch like what's happened with Suarez. Either way I'm not commenting on the case as I wasn't there.

Many people who hate him will still call him a racist he won't ever get away from that no matter what the verdict was.

Your right but I meant it more along the lines of... Terry not going to get banned. Squad harmony preserved etc.

Pretty much. But this situation is also a major warning shot across the bow for other players to be ultra careful. Hopefully we'll see no more of this sort of situation again with any other players. Hopefully
