Same here mate. Buzzing to see Hazard and Marin play together. Sad thing is that the first opportunity we will get to see Torres, Mata and Hazard in action together is probably in the Community Shield

if the court did nothing why would the FA do something?

The court has to prove beyond all reasonable evidence that he is guilty, whereas the FA (as they did with Suarez) only needs to be about 80% sure

Charly Musonda Jr scored in a friendly for the U-18s vs Torquay United in a 12-1 drubbing and drew rave reviews from those watching. Good start

Did anyone see Rio Ferdinands tweet about Ashley Cole calling him Choc Ice?
He has played it down saying that it was sarcasm...

He is pathetic, yes. But to be fair, its a normal reaction of a brother. If I was him, I'd probably do the same. So we cant really judge him.

But what is the need for writing tweets having digs at Terry Cole? He should keep it to himself not put it on twitter just to get a load of retweets and replies.

Some new faces at Chelsea in the Youth Level:

Andres Christensen who we have signed from Brondby. Plays at the U-17 level for Denmark. Highly touted in his home country

Jhoao Rodriguez who is a 15 y/old Colombian Striker. Regular in the Colombian U-17 squad. Was one of those who drave rave reviews in our 12-1 drubbing of Torquay United along with Charly Musonda Jr

Also the Angban brothers Victorien and Vincent Angban from Ivory Coast. Both seem like good prospects although Victorien looks like the better player

Internacional President basically confirmed to Radio Gaucha yesterday that Chelsea have bid a significant amount for the services of Oscar. He said the price was not too far off from the transfer record for a player in the Brazilian league. Seems more likely now that we will get him although you cant rule anything in or out till the Olympics is over

Not surprised about the Willian rumours as well Carl. We are definitely in the market for a winger and Willian certainly fits the bill. Young, versatile enough to play anywhere across the band of 3 behind the striker. Blistering pace and acceleration. Good balance and agility. Two-footed. Terrific dribbling skills and vision and tactical awareness. Also willingly tracks back

Still feel the reported price of 25m pounds is much too hefty for a player likely to be plied as a back-up. Would prefer Schurrle over him though

Also it looks like Maicon is slipping away to Real Madrid. Hmm... I cant say I am too disappointed. Would open the door for Azpilicueta to come in

Transfer guide: Ian Wright’s summer verdict | The Sun |Sport|Football

The Sun article written by Ian Wright on teams paying over the odds for unproven players. Now let me take a piece out here.

"I have seen Hazard play for Lille in the French League and he has been OK — but I have yet to be totally convinced".

This is a 21 year old player who has won the French player of the year twice, the first time becoming the youngest player to ever do so. He compares him with Gervinho stating "
Hazard’s former Lille team-mate Gervinho caused all sorts of problems in France, but he was not particularly convincing for Arsenal last season."

Gervinho's last two years with Lille - 28 goals and 14 assists in 64 games (league only)
Hazard's last two years with Lille - 27 goals and 24 assists in 69 games (league only)

The thing to look at is that Gervinho's best season came when Lille won the league, Hazard's came last season when they did not. There is also the fact that just because Gervinho has not pulled up any trees yet does not mean Hazard will not.

The article is basically saying why pay so much for unproven players i.e non Premier League proven players. I'll tell you why, Barcelona paid around 10million for Jordi Alba, Everton are holding out for over 15million for Leighton Baines!!!!! That is why clubs go abroad!!!

Barcelona got Alba for 10m for the same reason we got Kagawa for 12m. They both had one year left and only had a desire to go to the club regardless of who else was interested. Chelsea and Arsenal both enquired about Kagawa, and were told he had no interest in playing for either club. United enquired about Alba, again same thing about Barca.

But he does have a point, it will be a step up for him, will he deliver in the same level? I dont think he will get as many goals but the key will be his levels of performance, will he follow Cabaye, or Gervinho?

Just watching the UCL final again as it is on here in Australia. Just realised how good Torres was, really impressed and provided that something different up-front that we lacked. To be honest I also reckon he should have had a penalty rewarded to him.

BRING ON THE NEW SEASON! CANT ******* WAIT!

I have watched it around 20 times and noticed that too. He basically came on and played the Ramires role, just ran at them and gave them something to think about defensively. Also he was the one who won the corner for the Drogba goal!!

You've watched 1800 hours of the same game?!

I'm a student and on my summer off, and even I don't have that kind of time!
