Roughly, and making a few assumptions, "You must be joking/kidding [me], it's not possible, I will appeal to [their - the board, the club?] morality/ethic".

Sounds to me like he's voicing his displeasure and trying to put some pressure on the board to let him go. Feel sort of sorry for him, really, but as long as he's under contract there's not much he can do...

Hasnt he been itching for a move for ages?

Apparently Rc Lens have confirmed on their website Thorgan Hazard the younger brother of new signing Eden Hazard is set to complete a move to Chelsea in the next 48 hours.

It's like somebody has started managing Chelsea on football manager and just wants to buy a lot of the best young attacking players in the game with the signings we have made in the past year or so haha Lukaku, Hazard, Marin, De Bruyne, Mata and
potentially Oscar and Thorgan Hazard aswell.

I hope and I think we can put up a better fight in the Premier League then we did the season just gone but of course it is going to be very tough to win that title this year competing with the two Mancheser clubs and also Arsenal, Spurs, newcastle and Liverpool will be pushing to finish as high as possible and Arsenal and maybe even Spurs/Newcastle will aim to challenge for the title. I also have hope we can retain the champions league even though that will be a very very tough task and I am not expecting it. If the premier league is half as good this season as it was last we will be in for something special and I cant wait for the 18th of August to come.

Same, if they have rejected the reported fee, then they're crazy. He's not worth that much and to overvalue him that much is incredibly unfair.

That was my point, they are making you pay their valuation, £25m is an incredibly expensive valuation. It is an exorbitant fee, that's why they agree to it. It's not a fee that makes them break even him. Its certainly expensive for a young player who is more potential that ability. Whether you feel the price is justified is a slightly point different though, and thats more subjective so I cant argue against that.

as for alternatives, Eriksen is looking to move and for far less (around £15m). Belhanda would also reported cost less than £20m, ditto Sahin, though he is less inclined to move. Eriksen is in the same area of development int erms of ability and future potential (although this is subjective, very hard to see what kind of a player will be in the future) The latter two are certainly more talented, and both would be fairly classed as top class players, especially Sahin.

Marvin Martin was an earlier quality option, though he has moved for 11m now, Banega again would certainly be cheaper, sub 15m

Thats 5 (again this is subjective) off the top of my head, one in a similar bracket, 4 who can easily be described as better.

Lucas and Oscar are two completely different players, its not a case of who is better, it's like trying to compare Modric to Ronaldo. But both players have crazy free attached to them ( and for what is its worth, there is actually very little indication that United have even tabled a bid, the only paper to run a fresh story was the Mirror, and they even got the details wrong about the scout, saying he went down to sort a deal, Lawlor never does that, almost exclusively the area of Ferguson and Gill, as SAF has talked about in his interviews). I didnt mean just in terms of close, I meant just in terms of only. For what its wroth if we did sign him for that price, i would have a meltdown.

£15M For Eriksen? Thought it was more £20M, TBH. Especially considering the offers of around that fee they've had before. Anyway, Eriksen has said that he wants to stay with Ajax. In the past he's said he'll only go to Barça. I think it's his agent that wants the transfer more, tbh. Either way, would be an excellent signing for any team. Belhanda was valued around £15M before and he renewed his contract only recently, so that price will have gone up, and he's another who's said he wants to stay. He said that he want to play in the CL with Montpellier.

Yep Martin a good player, and a very good signing for Lille. Wasn't as impressive last season, but tbf, Sochaux aren't the best of teams. Would've been a risky buy, but can see him playing well with Lille this year. Banega's got a broken ankle after running over his leg while filling his car up at the petrol station, back August/September, I think, so I'd give him a miss! Good player though, but I was thinking younger than him, seeming that seems to be what we're looking for (19/20/21/22). Not that he's old, but it appears we want someone really young. And I might add they're better at the moment, but in time Oscar can be just as good or better. Not saying definitely will be, but he's very good.

Of course, I'm not saying you have necessarily bid that much – or even bid – for L.Moura, but that is a reported fee (in Brazil), just like Oscar's reported fee is £25M according to most, though I've also seen £20M, which I think is more accurate. They're both different players, and you can't compare them properly, but they do both prefer to play as a #10, but I don't like to compare players anyway, it does no good at all. Different players have different qualities, and different ways of playing, and that's the way I want it because why would you want everyone the same?! It's like a discussion I'm having on Twitter atm, who's better King or Terry, but whatever we say, we're not going to agree and we're getting nowhere. Terry and King each have some attributes better than the other. Pointless, really.

TalkShite (TalkSport) have been slagging off our title wins claiming we didn't win them in style unlike e four other teams who have all won the premier league title at some point haha. Oh yes because losing only 1 match in 04/05, dominating the league and finishing miles ahead of everyone else wasn't much and same in 06 we pretty much finished way ahead of all the rest and played good football.

But 09/10 must of been the most boring and rubbish of all scoring 103 goals, thrashing Wigan 8-0 to secure that title along with other big wins against clubs with scorelines such as 7-0, 7-1 and 7-2 and also doing the double over Manchester Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool which no other club has ever done in one season in the premier league before then. Chelsea FC are so boring!!

Absolute joke! They bring up these topics because it gets people calling and pays their wages, absolute sham. Forgot breaking the points total and conceding the least in a single season was boring. And then scoring 103 goals which is again another record is so boring to watch i was asleep for most of the season. This is the whole reason they gave jobs to Gray and Keys, the knew they would bring an audience because of their past. Business model works but it ******* stinks!

King, so many what ifs there. Had a good career but should have had so much more.

There is no way in **** we bid that much for him, if we did they would bit our hands off 100%!

I'm loving our signings atm and I hope we continue. I hope we keep lukaku tho and he doesn't go out on loan. I like sturridge but he annoyed me last season with hes greedyness so I'm not too sure if I want him to go out on loan or not.
I'm almost positive that Kevin de bry will be loaned out.

I don't think we should sign victor Moses either and should get someone who's proven and can challenge Torres.

Can't wait for the new season!! Chelsea blood through and through.

Not really, they have money (LOTS of it), and they want to keep their players - that's why they try to price their players out of moves to bigger clubs.

Does anyone else here understand siginging of Thorgan Hazard, other than to help Eden settle (which would be quite silly).

Thorgan Hazard has not real proven the talent compared to Eden, he does not look on the same level even though he is only 19.

I just do not get this one personally, it seems spending for the sake of it.

Isn't there some sort of loophole in FFP if the player is under 20? If he turns out well, then we get a great player. If he's mediocre we can sell him on. If he fails utterly, who cares we have so much money! XD

Most likely signing him only because he is Edens brother.

Most likely signing him only because he is Edens brother.

From what i've seen (3 games, so its a very very limited viewpoint) he is fairly average, certainly nothing special and nothing like his brother. But again seen 3 games, so could be very wrong. Can't go wrong with £2.5m, and he may develop well at Chelsea.

Never seen him myself in all honesty I only know he exists due to football manager haha but yeah I agree at £2.5 mil it isn't a risk because if he develops well at Chelsea and becomes a good player great the signing has ended up being a bargain but if he doesn't develop as a player good enough for the club we can sell him on for a similar price.

Because he is a young lad who can learn a lot and training with a much bigger and better club could help him. He does have some talent to him so lets see how much he learns.

Going by that performance 25mill for Oscar looks like in time it may be an absolute steal. Great performance by Bertrand too playing out of position.
