Terry out for the Newcaslte game with a minor neck injury. Marin still remains injured. Azpilicueta could be availiable tommorow although RDM never said anything on that.

Knowing what happened to Oscar, I would expect Cesar to start on the bench.
 
Doing a little poking around in the Man City stats spreadsheet and I decided to take a detailed look at Mikel. Won't be finished tonight but here's a little gem that I thought a few of you might appreciate.

John Obi Mikel- Angle of passing
Most common angle: Forwards (339)
Least common angle (almost 3x times less than the other angles): Backwards (102)

RDM said that Azpi is unavailable because everything hasn't been finalised in time for him to play.

So, it's "ath' not "as", which I find a bit confusing considering he's Basque, and I believe that would make it "as". But, I guess maybe his parents aren't from there (although, 'Azpilicueta' is a Basque name, I thought?), so they don't pronounce it like that, or that's how most of Spain pronounce it so he goes along with it. But, anyway, that's how it's pronounced. I like 'Azpi' ("athpi"), but I guess 'Dave' works, too.

Azpilicueta is a basque surname, his parents are both basque as far as I'm aware. In spanish Spanish (yes I know it sounds very redundant) z and c (as in Barcelona) sound a lot like "th". In other forms of Spanish (Rioplatense, for instance) this is not true, with the pronunciation resembling an s.
 
We have confirmed the signing of Victor Moses. Two young and exciting signings in a day :D

Yes, I know, that's what I'm saying, which makes it confusing as to why he pronounces it 'ath'. I've also heard people that are Basque saying it like that.

Marin, Ramires, Oscar, Mata, Hazard, Bertrand, Moses, Sturridge. That's 8 players competing for 3 spots, do we really need a 9th. I understand his value is his versatility but £40 is way too much. I wouldn't pay a penny over 25...

Well Sturridge is probably competing for the strikers position more than a position on the wings and Betrand is predominantly a LB. Also Oscar will eventually be playing much deeper..

But yeah agree with you in any case. Hulk just seems a more polished version of Sturridge. I rather we stick with Sturridge who gets more stick than he deserves at times

Chelsea have been ridiculously efficient this transfer window, 6 players in all under 24. All holes in the squad filled. Hopefully they don't screw it up and get Hulk
