wow wow wow!!!! how much did i enjoy yesterday (in the end) words cannot describe. The most impressive thing for me is that although this is a new Chelsea we still showed the fight and belief after going behind. Apart from the 15 odd minutes at the start of the 2nd half we were totally in control and this is becoming a regular thing which for me is alien but so enjoyable to watch. Ramires in the double pivot is very much working, yes he doesn't have the passing range but but he has the drive instead which scares the **** out of defenders. Gazza Cahill's strike just wow, it is something he has in his locker to be fair but even still that is what our replacement for JT can do. Our 3 other goals was just the Mata show it actually got a little funny especially his run in with Walker which Mata i think it's safe to say Mata had the last laugh. The pass by Hazard for the 3rd goal in my opinion shows he is a world class player, only world class players see and execute them. Very happy for Sturridge for getting his goal but the story was about Mata for me and has been since he came back off leave, no doubt for me the best/on form player in the Premier League currently. I said before the game that if we got 4 points from the next two games i would believe we are genuine title contenders and it is looking very good.

The difference between playing Ramires there and Lampard.

The thing about Lamps is that he has the better passing range but in his head he still thinks he can go box to box which he cannot. Ramires is not your usual deep lying playmaker but the way he does it actually works brilliantly.

Aye but first and foremost you need that positioning, especially against tough sides. Against lesser sides its a different issue. Ramires plays it like Khedira does. Excellent player.

I admit i have my doubts whether he could play there but that's mainly because it was not tested much at any level but he really is impressing me. Next weeks game will be very good, both sides attack look strong but i'd have questions about Utd's midfield and defence. Then again it's Utd so anything can happen lol.

This is not a clean sheet game. I can tell you that much. I hope we go out to score against you, thats our best chance, our attack is arguably even more potent than yours. the goals you conceded vs Spurs, are the type of goals we excel at creating with our movement, and we have become a real set piece threat this season too. The same could be said about how you score yours as well. 3-3.

Yeah definitely will be goals 100%, i'll say 2-2 and i will take that.

United can't afford to lose it, i got a sneaky feeling for the red devils in this one but i think our lack of a solid defence might make us leak a goal or two.

What do you reckon will be your plan to pick up Hazard/Mata/Oscar?

Same as we did last season. We deal with movement better than raw power. Positionally our players are excellent defensively, Carrick is one of the best at reading and intercepting play. The key will be communication to the full backs in tracking the wide players. I would have Cleverley follow Oscar/whoever starts as AMC. I think Rafael is certainly capable of handling Hazard, he is a much cleaner tackler these days. Centre mids will naturally deep anyway and will compress that space, without having to worry about being overpowered by direct crosses. Evra could have a tough game, and Evans will have to be on his best to cover, but he is excellent form. Be interesting to see if Lampard starts, Rooney would enjoy that.

Im impressed with Chelseas game from the start of the season! Credit to them! It should be a tough game at the weekend! Looking forward to it!

Anderson will be key IMO. Just like last season and before that (discussed in ManUtd thread), we need Anderson's energy. Without him our midfielders will be chasing Ramires shadow and won't get near him. If Scholes and Giggs starts together (which I'm sure they will) then we will lose easily.

We should play 3 in the middle and either Rooney or Kagawa completing the diamond. Carrick, Anderson, Cleverley should form the trio and Kagawa as AM with Rooney and RVP as strikers or Valencia instead of Kagawa to provide width at least from RW.

Cleverley is as mobile and energetic as Anderson, but is a much better passer and a much better tackler. Not convinced a diamond is a good idea by any means at all. We should be matching the flanks as it means we can pin back Cole with Valencia, and Ivanovic is not a major attacking threat compared to the other 3 full backs, meaning that Evra can get forwards down the left, a diamond would leave their full backs free to maraud forwards at will and overload us.

Carrick, Cleverley, Rooney. Positioning, mobility, complete attacking midfield presence. Rooney can track ramires late runs from deep. Carrick shields the back 4 and intercepts, while Cleverley is the mobile link, picking up and harassing Oscar. Those two are likely to be battling each other most of the game. We need to impose our game as much as be reactionary. 4-2-3-1 vs 4-2-3-1

Be interesting to see if RDM chucks in Moses/Marin in place of one of the attacking trio on the right to provide width and stretch the united defense. Perhaps even Azpilicueta who is a much better attacking RB than Ivanovic. Also Ramires has to start in the double pivot if we are to have a chance of winning. Lookin forward to the game already

Strong XI tonight. Cech; Brana--JT--Luiz--Ashley; Mikel--Lampard; Ramires--Mata--Oscar; Torres

Willian: "I'd like to move from Shakhtar, my work here is complete. I want to play in a big tournament. I like Chelsea." #CFC

How convenient of you to forget Drogba's offside goal.
Or the 'penalty' you got from a 'foul' from Smalling.
Or where Luiz was running around like a bull in a china shop and never got a 2nd yellow.
etc.

Some of your fans really are moronic.

Chelsea rentboys being picked up on the sky microphones all the time. I'm ******* myself!

'Oi hurry up DA GAY you ****** mug' - not long after the second goal went in, smacked of desperation that chelsea fans were moaning about time-wasting after 20 minutes.

They went mysteriously quiet after it went 2-0:

Wonder if the same Chelsea rentboys will be urging their own team to time-waste now?

Morons.

Then i heard this on Sky microphones just before final whistle:

More gold from the Chelsea rentboys on the Sky microphones

'Rio Ferdinands mum takes it up the ****! You know what you've done you ****!'

Amazing, unbelievable, how a club from such an affluent, intelligent area is followed by some of Londons genuine morons.

Hm... Everybody hates us. I'm fine with that. But when referees think they can **** with us, then it hurts me. 2 red cards + an offside goal for a team that is clearly not protected by FA.

Just go die, Clattenburg, Foy, Webb, everybody in that ******* FA.
