Tell you what though, you have slipped quite a few points in the Premier League recently, but that game against Juventus in the Champions League is a huge game for you and Di Matteo.

I've never said he hasn't needed to score more goals, he certainly does. But its not just on him, and the missed chances by other players are not his fault. Dire today, truly dire, but the rest had enough chances from what i saw to take the game, and that shoudnt be on Torres.

Didn't say you had. Sure, it's not just his fault, but, as Alcaraz did say and you tactically ignored, the blame rests largely on him. It's his job to score goals, no two ways about it. Yeah, the others missed chances, but that's not their primary job. Nobody's trying to SOLELY blame Torres for Chelsea's lack of goals, but it's pretty obvious he's a major cause of it, what with wasting promising positions by passing and if not that, missing completely. Just saying "yeah he was bad but so were others!" shouldn't be and isn't an excuse to use to defend Torres.

If Van Persie wasn't scoring, every United fan would be calling for him to be dropped. Chelsea fans are doing much the same.

Whats with the Torres blaming ring. He received about one half good pass for 60 minutes and then he got subbed, i doubt Jesus would be able to score with service like this. I actually thought he was rather decent today. Your midfield was bad. Your defense was awful. Cech wasn't that good either. Why scapegoat one guy when the whole team was ****.

He got subbed because he was rubbish. One key pass, a 75% pass accuracy, dispossessed twice, and, uh, nothing else at all. He didn't even take one shot.

Godly strikers like Falcao make goals even out of nothing :P

Lest you forget, WBA apparently played amazingly. Give them some credit

I was about to say that lol. I didn't see the match, but from what I've seen of WBA in past matches they've played some excellent football and put opponents under a lot of pressure with how they play. Clarke has them excellently organised and gets his tactics pretty much spot on, and the players are just excellent on the pitch

It seems Alcaraz is solely blaming him.

Anyway, not sure why Chelsea are all about Falcao. Llorente is going free! Free!!

Also Di matteo wants contracts for Lampard and Cole.

No, he's not. He's "largely" blaming him for Chelsea's problems with scoring goals, which I think is wholly fair.

You're talking to Chelsea fans, since when are they likely to want the cheap option? :P

Or Roman for that matter.

Take a shot, but from what? He's not a magician. The entire midfield was awful, i only tuned in after first goal, but they barely had more then 2-3 people really commited to attacking, the only plan seemed to be counting on Hazard to do something solo. If anything i'd say we saw just how much Chelsea relies on Mata to attack as organized unit. When he's gone, they just don't mata.

Recall Lukaku

Not sure if that is the right answer. He won't win us the title either. We need some world-class quality now.

^this.

FFP? I don't think we should pay crazy money from now on.

^This is the most sensible post and the most likely in my opinion. Some of the "Chelsea fans" and i use that term loosely have gone in over drive over these Falcao comments even photoshopping pictures of him in a Chelsea strip and some comments like "Welcome to Chelsea Falcao". I have even seem comments saying they hope Torres breaks his leg so the deal definitely goes through!!! I really do give up!

Glad you think so.. Everyone else completely ignored me (:

IMO, the only chance of Chelsea signing Falcao is with a very, very high fee (at least €40m) plus Torres. Surprised the media haven't put that one out there yet. €50m is not going to twist Atletico's arm into selling, considering they've already invested €45m+ in him already!

Swap is propably the only way to get rid of Torres that doesn't include violence.

The £50 million which we spent on Torres could have been used to get Ibrahimovic AND Thiago Silva last summer. Think about it- Mata, Hazard and Oscar dragging defenders all over the place with that Swedish monster upfront. Oh well...
