Chelsea fans hate him for his time at Liverpool and he said some bad things about us (which i don't hold against him because if he praised us it would have been wrong having being manager of a rival). If i had a choice between Rafa or Redknapp i'd chose Rafa but for me it's like choosing whether i'd like to have *** with Jody Marsh or Will Young, yes one is female but is more manly than the other. Both would be a unpleasent experience.

This just shows, people dont want him for the wrong reasons, as a manager he is a very good one and would be a good appointment

all the hype about guardiola, yes Barca played well but they already had Messi, Iniesta, Xavi ETC

i doubt he would come in and suddenly turn chelsea into barca

Would you take SAF at Liverpool?

If it meant making Liverpool football club better, id take anyone.. for now, im happy with Brendan Rodgers

I would be surprised if the majority of Liverpool fans agreed with you. I know I wouldn't want an ex mackem manager at Newcastle.

The speed at which we have moved. This is obviously not a knee-jerk reaction from Roman.

I would have *** with Jody Marsh.. Is there something wrong with me?

:S

.. you can't stop the owner of a club from sacking a manager lol, that's just ridiculous. Di Matteo is an average manager, winning the CL just meant Roman was in an untenable position, he had to give him a contract after that, even if he didn't want to. Apart from that fluke CL win, what has he done? Won the FA cup? Wow. Finished 5th in the league? Wow. Getting WBA promoted from the CC with a Prem standard squad? Wow. Got Chelsea knocked out of the CL at the group stages? Wow.

At the end of the day, it's Romans decision, if it's the right one or not you can only tell at the end of the season. See what Pardew has done since coming in at Newcastle after Hughton was sacked to much furor, the same could happen and everyone will be 'omg that was such a great decision, let me suck on your nipples Roman'.

They aren't out yet. They need to win their last game, I think it's against Shakhtar.

Pardew, a great decision? You're below Liverpool in the league, mate. (;

20-whatever it is years ago I would have.. Not now.. He's an old, mental, alcoholic Scotsman. Would rather have Moyes ;)

Would you actually be happy if you got Moyes as a manager if Rodgers left? He's a pretty good manager, and if you got him while he's in charge of Everton, then it would be a bit like 'getting one over', if he had been sacked, would it be any different?

I think Shakhtar play Juve in the last game, if they draw or Juve win, Chelsea are out? I think.. So they have a high chance of going out.

Pardew was awesome last season, lost some of the sparkle this season, but I doubt we would be in a much better position had we still had Houghton in charge, but obviously I can't say for certain, due to lacking in mystic meg abilities. Either way, I think you will be hard pressed to find a Newcastle fan that regrets the Houghton dismissal considering how we did last season.

I'd probably cry with happiness.. Although I don't think he's a big enough character to make that sort of move.. Having said that, if we're the only "big club" to show any interest in him then it could happen, I guess. He's an incredible, all-rounded, and somewhat underrated manager.

I'm happy with Rodgers, though. He plays good football with poor players and he's not afraid to put the **** ones in their place.

I agree, People love and hate people too quickly in football.. same for every team,
if a manager/player came in and did well, they would like him after a few games.. alot of fickle fans

Oh, my bad.. (:

I was being sarcasticcc, Pardew was a controversial yet successful decision. TBF though, the Newcastle scouting team really pulled it out of the bag last season. Cabaye, Ba, Cisse, & Santon? Mind blowing. I personally think some sort of Pardew-Houghton hybrid would absolutely own, though.

It appears you got me with what I got you with earlier. :P

Touché.

Yeah our scouts are pretty awesome, picked up some gems for low prices. Imagine we will lose a few next summer so hopefully they can do the same job again and bring in some cheaper quality to replace them.

Rafa Benitez has cut short his trip which was meant to go till Friday and will return home tonight. So he does look the most likely to be honest....
