Since when was 27 old? I'd rather spend 7m on a premier league proven player than wank over 50mill on someone not proven in this league, we have been laughed at enough thanks.

Or 50m for someone proven in this league that ended up flopping massively.

So we can rule that out for January, Chelsea are clearly going to be buying another striker if they want to get anywhere this season, unfortunately even if Torres is still in Chelsea's plans he still needs someone up there supporting him imo.

It's great having Hazard, Oscar and Mata like Gary Neville said last night, but you need people actually making runs beyond the defence, not just sitting in the holes.

Lets not being under false illusion, as much as Chelsea fans would like to, Torres is not the person to be blamed solely for where Chelsea are right now.

No one is stupid enough to blame our short comings on one player but if one of the most important positions isn't pulling it's weight, you can't hide away from blaming that 50m striker on an 11 hour goal drought..

We need to learn SAF's sorcery. Plays badly against Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool yet beats them all. I'm putting money on them winning against Manchester City too.

Yes its a stupid joke, I need something to entertain myself these days after all.

Oh believe me there are....

yeah or that, only Chelsea can spend so much on a injury fatiuged player without giving them a medical!

Before watching that documentary on Jose last night i was debating whether i would want him back as the saying goes no-one should go back but.....After watching that i believe i was a stupid moron and would do anything to see him back at the Bridge! I must say as much as i loved and respected SAF's input their love-in does unsettle me greatly.

Honestly Torres has been looking rather decent lately. Either that or its mid trio looking increasingly ****** every game i watch.

Hazard is a mere shadow of player from start of season, Oscar is completely unproductive. And Mata just looks completely exhausted , poor guy didn't really have good rest since forever, even had several first touch fuckups last game.

In any case Fernando does need a proper backup, whether he starts scoring or not. He works really hard , gets into many physical battles and by that 70-75 minute he's just way too tired to contribute anything.

One thing i agree with Rafa on is that Torres needs help not only from himself but from he's teammates too.

Just watched the Mourinho doc. I forgot what a genius he is, so much charisma. The Clough comparisons are right in my opinion, they've both changed football.

I love him.

I want Mourinho back in English football. I also want Guardiola to take over United, so Jose can crush him a second time.

When Benitez was being a tool at Inter and made sure every picture of Mourinho was taken down in and around the club...

Mourinho said this-

“I don’t need photos to make those around me love me as they carry me in their hearts."

ITV4 is ****** mocking us

I think its fair to say Guardiola bettered Mourinho in their team's battles on the pitch. 5-0 and 6-2 thrashings come to mind.

I can't remember the last time he looked like he wanted to score. It doesn't matter how hard he works, he has to have that hunger for goals otherwise it'll never work. Maybe if he had amazing creative/technical skills it would be excusable, but he doesn't so we're basically playing an incredibly average attacking midfielder upfront with no strikers whatsoever.

I honestly think that we will play a lot better if we revert to 4-3-3 in January with a new striker upfront, Hazard and Mata on the wings, Oscar-Ramires-Mikel in the middle. It pretty much solves all of our problem: Hazard+Mata don't have to track back quite as much, Mikel gets the extra body he needs to play effectively, moving Oscar back would alleviate our need to buy a regista and we would have extra defensive solidity, allowing the fullbacks to bomb forward as they are prone to do, without leaving massive gaps.

Please Carl...He is not making runs beyond the defense. He is not getting into the right positions. He has lost his edge. As soon as Sturridge got some time on the pitch as a striker he had as many as 4 chances against WBA, its a different matter he took none of them.

I think we can confidently say thats it the quality of the striker rather than the quality of the supply that is preventing us from scoring goals.

Wrong, the 2-6 was with Juande, not Mou.

On the other hand, while that one match Barça completelly dominated, I wouldn't say that unless the w-D-L balance were favourable to him. One bad day doesn't make superiority.

I don't know what that W-D-L is, let's see what I get to remember:

5-0, absolute dominance by Barça that was obvious would be from first minute. Then there was a 1-1 draw in which Real Madrid played with 10 men during half an hour or so?, I don't remember if Real Madrid's goal happened with 10 men. Then the 1-0 win on the Copa final during extra time. Next Supercup I remember being pretty tight, like the Copa final, and Barça won, though I don't remember the leg scores. In that Champions League I didn't see but a part of the first match. I think it was W-D for Madrid, but I'm not sure. Next season it was, if I remember correctly, D-W and don't remember the cup matches, which where W-?. for Barça.

So, the balance is Pep-3-2-2-Mou with two games that may be D or Barça win. So it can range from 5-2-2 to 3-4-2. So from Pep got the upper hand in the global to they were pretty even.).

Oh ****** ****...they're giving me the ball again...****...what to do what to do...ah screw it i'll just hoof it...**** where did it go...why i can never....oh there it is...now just raise a leg...there, that wasn't even so far away...now just to grab my hair band...now grab my face...and done. Another 150k $ well earned.

But you could also say the 3 behind him especially Oscar and Hazard have lost their early season sparkle.

I know this will cause controversy but does anyone else agree with me that the players and system we currently have it would suit a certain ginger haired, croaky voiced Portuguese manager? My quote when he was in charge "right man wrong time", was i right?

I agree, Alex McLeish would make a sick Chelsea manager. He's secretly Portuguese, I might add.
