Lol. Seriously though, do you like M'Vila? I personally think he is overrated, but Fulham and QPR are showing interest. I think you should go for him if you lose Fellaini. I don't think he is a player for QPR lol.

The way our turnover is on wages right now my head says no. It's already 75% of our turnover, and right now we're not a big enough club, and our managerial situation isn't certain right now. DM has said if we don't make CL he won't be at Goodison, and is turning his attention to Germany managerial wise. Also he wants 2 players to come in this window too as another incentive to stay at Goodison-which is right now looking very unlikely.

January window always goes crazy in the end. Most clubs strike really good deals on Jan 31st.

Aye the contract stalling isnt the Chairman, its Moyes. Much as he loves Everton, i think he has had enough of only going so far, when he is better than that. Everton need a buyer and fast

We,once again, simply don't have the finances available. If we get any signings it will be a miracle-looks like it's going to be loans. And IF, big IF, Fellaini did push for a move this window and lost him, it would be a devestating blow which would cripple our season. We said we wouldn't let Arteta go after all.............

The chances of getting a buyer, with our current stadium and finances and debt repayments, in the next year or so (head speaking) are practically zero. If we don't make Europe it will literally cripple us, and we'd have to let go of assets like Baines, Barkley and with Fellaini it's apparent that's going to go through. This season is literally make or break for the club. We don't make it there's going to be a massive change. I'd be staggered if any Everton fan doesn't recognise this. And to be honest I would not blame David one bit if he did move. He's been with us for 11 years and done a fantastic job. He's had critics from a lot of our fans, but 99% of the time it's totally unwarranted.

M'Villa is a massive talent, but there are some concerns about hsi work ethic...apparently he became a party animal, so sending him anywhere near London might not be the best idea...to put it lightly.

Word on the street is he's available for around £8m? This time last year when Arsenal were sniffing around, Rennes slapped a £25m pricetag did they not?

His agent has said they basically just want him gone, no matter the terms.

And from that you conveniently assumed that he has agrreed to take a sizeable wage cut that would justify retaining a 34 year-old rapidly declining player who would mostly be playing smaller games all the while knowing that his agent has a ulterior motive for leaking this story in order to increase fan pressure on the club to give Lampard a new contract

To be fair, there was a story I saw aswell that he would have taken a pay reduction. And I know I'm biased towards Lamps, but saying rapidly decling is a bit harsh mate. I know I'm biased, but he's still an excellent player and can still perform for Chelsea even though he's 34. He still has a lot to offer

Not really. Its fine when you play him against the likes of Stoke and Southampton and see him do well. Its quite another matter to play him against one of the big clubs as his weaknesses get badly exposed as shown already this season. Their is a reason why even Di Matteo dropped him and frankly the only reason he is playing now is because we are horrendously short of midfielders.

Maybe he has agreed to take a pay cut but by how much? I would say he needs to agree to at least halve his wages to justify retaining him.

Last I heard was £75000 pay cut

No, from that I logically assumed he has agreed to take a sizeable wage cut, because a) he wants to stay b) nobody is going to pay him 150k anyway.

The rest of your post is 500th chicken and egg argument you make this last few days. I can just as well say club has interest in keeping the negotiations quiet in order to decrease fan pressure (and they do) and for the same reason they would be more then welcome to any rumours about aging, rich footballer desperately trying to keep his wage.

Unless Lampard is completely braindamaged, he should be well aware no one will pay him 150k. You propably cling to that amount in your posts more than Frank himself did during negotiations with the board.

Its just rumours. Perhaps then a case could be made for keeping hold of him. Even then I am not really a big fan of it either way. I just feel this is a sort of 'jump on the bandwagon' mentality from a lot of people.

Last season when Lampard was blamed for being the main architect of the AVB fiasco then everyone was calling for his head and now suddenly he plays well in three games not to mention the fact that he is just a few goals shy of breaking the all-time goalscoring record and will not have another chance to do so. That coupled with the anger the fans already feel at the club for appointing Benitez now means that suddenly everyone has turned around saying how he is a key player and an integral part of the squad.

Not really. The club is not even negotiating with Lampard so your post fails to stand up to scrutiny.

Plus the fact that you have no reliable source to back up your claims that Lampard has agreed to take a sizeable wage cut and in your words are just assuming, logically perhaps, that he has adds no credence to your argument that Chelsea should keep hold of him.

And plenty of places will pay him even more than the wages he is currently on. Asia/Europe/Middle East.

To be honest, the fans have to accept things as they are wether or not they like it. Yes they have a say in how they feel via tickets and money, but at the same time-deal with it. Other clubs have had similar situations and they've dealt with it, Chelsea have to aswell. If they keep voicing abuse it does nothing good at all except spread disharmony and won't attract players regardless whos in charge. Just take one for the club like every other fan has. Rafa may not be a favorite but you're getting wins. What's more important-getting wins for the CL or opinion? Deal with it.

Regarding Lampard-he'll be more valuable than people realise. And when he's gone he'll leave a void that's hard to fill. Even when Fellaini comes in

I just don't see any point in keeping hold of him for another 1-2 seasons. We will have to come to terms and fill the void left by his departure eventually. Now is the best time to do that right when we are rebuilding the team around younger and more dynamic players such as Hazard and Oscar and trying to establish a new footballing philosophy

Right, so was I. But in the meantime you went through two managers with no internal drama, so to me either the "Old Guard" got their **** together, or AVB's man management was to blame from the start.

I'd say 1 season over 2. Simply because he has much to offer experience wise from being in the PL so long. And to be honest I haven't been that impressed by Hazard and Oscar....YET. Very talented yes without doubt, but more to offer. But that's me. Lampard has a leader aura about him, so they should employ him in player/coach role. I genuinely feel if they let him go now it will be a mistake. He loves playing for the club, and he would be an outstanding coacher to players like Oscar and Hazard while playing at the same time. Look at Scholes. He's getting on, and by god he can still pick out a 50p piece with his passing. Yes his tackling his ****, but again he still has a lot to offer.

One was Roberto Di Matteo who is a club legend and a big personality at the club. A tough man to take on if you ask me...

And the other is Rafa Benitez who is actually playing Lampard quite a lot because we have no other midfielders. Romeu is injured. Mikel is off to ACON. Essien is out on loan.

While I myself am of the opinion tha AVB's man-management was largely to blame for the whole saga, it can hardly be said that Lampard conducted himself professionaly after being benched.

Except Lampard has hardly aged with the grace that Scholes has and it would be totally unfair to compare them.

And tbh mate all the reasons that you are giving sound very FM-ish to me. Chelsea still have a number of experienced players in the squad in Terry and Cech to guide the new players.
