Alan Shearer doesn't understand the concept of zonal marking. Or the English language.
Marin isnt very good. Talented, very lazy, very inconsistent, never really shown he can be a game changer since about 2010.
You just said why I can. Football is opinions, and Marin was a showboating, lazy winger even at his best in the Bundesliga.

Lawl. He gets pushed yet, even when down, somehow manages to prevent Hazard from grabbing the ball, all while rolling on the pitch like italian striker. If this was just a defenseless, fragile child, as you are trying to make him, any athlete that plays on the level Hazard plays, would be able to wrestle him for the ball with one hand. The point is Hazard acted like a moron, but the "kid" had it coming, so spare me the self-righteous trolling pose.

In position, not play-style. He's even narrower than Hazard in his play-style, but it's hard to define him as something else in a single word. The closest would be "lazy, showboating, narrow sort-of hybrid winger who likes to hang around a central playmaker position but insists on playing wide despite that".
I think you're confusing the sport hazard plays with rugby. He may be an athlete at the top level but that really doesn't mean he's going to have really strong arms. He probably weighs less than the ball boy.
The ball boy is clearly a bit of a **** but I don't think you can say he had it coming.
You misunderstand, when I say lazy, he wouldnt have contributed to a consistent push needed to turn the game around. You would have got someting different alright. Just not in a good way

Have you not considered the reason why Marin is not considered? Maybe, just MAYBE Benitez knows more about this than us.
