scary thing is he is still only 24 so if like Zola he can carry on putting in these world class performances well in to his late 30s and if he stays loyal to the club we still have 10+ years of Juan :D

I do however have a bad feeling about Mata this summer. I know Pep likes him a lot and with Bayern being loaded i just have a vision of them chucking 40+mill at us and the board thinking "ohhhh money" and taking it.

Well, if you thought Chelsea were bad; Palermo have sacked their 4th manager of the season, Gasperini after 2 games sacked for the second time this season.. Makes Roman look like he has the patience of a buddhist monk.

Exactly, really don't know why we get a bad name lol.

Pep wanted him at Barca the summer before we signed him I think?? Pretty sure I read Barca showed interest but he didnt want to leave Valencia for another Spanish club or something like that.

A positive I can think of about Juan though is you can tell he is very happy at the club and is passionate about us he was nearly in tears after our 2-0 defeat to City the other week he certainly cares which is great to see.

Mata doesn't strike me as the type of player/person who would want out if the bigger teams come calling. Plus we aren't a selling club.

I can assure you that if a club offers that money Roman will take it and not even think about it twice. Oh, what a sad day that would be.

Yeah, and how many big offers have we received in the last 10 years?

Offers that the public have been aware of? Probably 1, which was Robben.

Behind closed doors, who knows. Lampard was close to Inter, Terry to City (or both just using the interest to get bumper contracts).

Yeah, that Terry thing was pretty ridiculous. Terry loves Chelsea, won't ever sign for another English team. I think City offered around 35 but it might have been just bullcrap.

And the next manager will be their 27th since 2002.

Gasperini was sacked in the first week of Feb and then was rehired by last week of feb (just 3 games after he was sacked). Now again sacked in the second week of March. Can happen only at Palermo. lol.

We haven't really been tested in terms of big offers and when we have we have taken the cash or tried to take the cash.

It will be a travesty mate it really would be. But i can just imagine an attacking 3 of Robben, Ribery and Mata at Bayern with Schwienstieger and Martinez behind, sounds immense.

Yeah that for Robben which we took, the Lampard one wasn't really that high but if i remember rightly they would have taken the one for Terry but Terry instead went back to the club and said he wanted to stay so offer him a new contract. Not sure though.

Robben is barely getting a game now, surely too selfish for a Pep system? Ribery - Kroos/Mata - Mata/Muller/Shaqiri? Not that there's anything concrete even linking Mata to Bayern.

Yeah its just me putting 2 and 2 together with a hint of thinking negatively lol.

Mata has been in amazing form this season. 20 assists while playing most games basically with 10 man and no striker.

That is just insane, it's Golden Ball material, really. If the Golden Ball wasn't mostly popularity contest, that is.

You've definitely woken up now.

I can't believe Terry gave him a "pity" penalty, when Mata is on such fantastic form and would have banged it in and killed them off.

You can't help but feel sorry for Torres. It finally looks like hes got a bit of confidence and that happens..

Bad Luck Torres: scores the winning goal, still gets **** for missing the penalty.

Did you know? Fernando Torres has become the first Chelsea player ever to score in 7 different competitions in a single season. #CFC
