My god we rode our luck again tonight at times but again there were some positives which is pleasing. Obviously the main one being that we are in the hat for the draw tomorrow. Others being the performances of Hazard and Mata yet again, the pair of them were just sensational especially Hazard tonight. A JT goal is always a positive and that's now 52 for the club which is unbelievable considering he is a centre back! Now to the most surprising positive and that was the 2nd half performance of Torres, he looked like a totally different player after that whack to his face! He played angrily for the first time and it worked for him, yes he missed a pen (which i knew he would) but that didn't dent his confidence for unlike previous poor things he has done. I will praise Rafa for playing a strong side because i personally would like to win this tournament but obviously with it bring Rafa there is a downside. A manager who more than most rotates due to "unfitness" and complains about fixture pile up yet he makes his first sub in the 89th minute? I don't mind if you don't make any subs in games but don't then complain about fixture pile up and unfitness if your just going to contradict yourself lad. My last comment i will leave for Steaua's owner Gigi Becali who i will add for anyone who does now know him is a raging racist and homaphobe. He had this to say after the first leg "If we score in London, we are qualified. This isn't a team that can score three goals against us. Never". UTC!

Eden Hazard just keeps getting better and better as the season goes on. I will be honey of course I was delighted when we signed him but I didn't the he would be that consistent and as good as people were making out especially his first season but how he has proved me wrong!

Wow personally couldn't have been given a tougher draw!!!! A trip to Russia this late in the season with the pile up we already have!

Sat 30th March vs Southampton
Mon 1st April vs Man Utd
Thur 4th April vs Rubin
Sat 6th April vs Sunderland

Now why can't we have the Sunderland game put back a day to the Sunday?

Just a little piece i wrote on Torres today.

Has the Liverpool Torres actually arrived at last?

I just want to talk about him quickly because there has been so many times where every Chelsea fan has thought "maybe he is back to his best" but only to be proven wrong the very next game. I do have a theory though and the next game he plays will show us more and i will prove that. During his time at Chelsea there has been ups and he started looking confident but quickly after that up and rise in confidence something happened which could very well of put him back to square one.

The first time he looked proper confident was when we were 3-0 down to Man Utd at Old Trafford at half time back in September 2011. 1 minute into the second half he latches on to an Anelka through ball and finishes sensationally. Then around the 80th minute he latches on to another through ball, rounds the keeper brilliantly looking full of confidence only to miss an open goal from yards out. Confidence shot to pieces?

The next time was just 2 games after that shocking miss at Old Trafford at home to Swansea. He scores an early well worked goal and then was massively involved in our 2nd which was scored by Ramires. He looked confident again pulling off flicks and tricks and was our stand out player. Then he seemed to get a little too excited and lunged in two foot earning himself a straight red card and a 3 game ban. Confidence shot to pieces again?

The final time i can think of was that night at the Nou Camp. He comes on for Drogba and actually plays very poorly but found himself through one on one and scored the clincher which will be remembered by every Chelsea fan who witnessed it. He then starts the next League game at home to QPR and scores his first Chelsea hat-trick, confidence seemed to be back again. He then was left out of the FA Cup final playing 0 minutes and again left out of the Champions League final starting 11. When he did come on he did okay and when it went to penalties he wanted one of the first 5 and was denied that (rightly as we now know). Confidence shot to pieces again?

I bring all these explanations up because he played very well on Thursday night and looked confident again but then took the penalty and missed! This is the type of thing that has knocked his confidence in the past but there was one difference this time. Torres played angry for the first time and it seemed to work! I think i speak for everyone here when i say i hope this time is different and we can see some sort of the Liverpool Torres we all used to hate.

No, the number of times he's been "back" so far is dumb. He'll never be the player he was at Liverpool, if it was ever going to happen it would have happened by now.
Unless you plan on getting him kicked in the face every game I wouldn't even think about it.

I have never said he was back. The only way we would ever know if he was back is when we stop asking that question.

Seriously, at this point you need to fix your squad, and only then there'll be some point in discussing if Torres is back or not.

He's been mediocre first half of season and awful the other half. But in the summer at the very least you need a word class winger and a pivot player , as well as some extra squad depth, so that doesn't exactly leave a lot of room for new striker. I doubt even Roman is willing to blow up 100 mil on transfers every year.

Also well, Ba came , and to put it lightly, he's not exactly dominating the scoreboards either. Broken nose is obviously a very good excuse, but a lot of times he's shown Torres-like problems with finding good position and general lack of space. And that just shows current system is not working.

I don't think you can even judge Ba's time at Chelsea, he has had no real run of games to fairly judge him has he? I also know there is more problems and i have discussed these problems too but at this time i wanted to talk about Torres.

tbf to Torres I know I like to slag him off massively when he plays poorly and Chelsea drop points and yes once again this season when I look at it now he hasnt been special but he actually has not been bad he has still managed 16 goals in all competions this season which for a striker who cost £50 million isnt exactly loads but it is not that bad either and there are still plenty of games left for him to get a few more at least to his name.

I can remember at the start of the season he was flying first few games scoring and I really thought this could be a season where he would hit 25-30 goals especially with the likes of Mata, Hazard and Oscar behind him but then he went off the pace a little then he hit some more form just before RDM left/Rafa came in scoring every other game scoring some pretty good goals too e.g volley against Sunderland and his header against Villa but once again went off the pace and hasnt really hit form against since but I am hoping now after last nights performance maybe it could be the start of a little run of form for him at least.

Ba did everything right with his build up play, just wasn't happening infront of goal.

Hazard was brilliant.

If Ba did not try and impersonate Torres in front of goal, we would have won more comfortably. That aside, Eden Hazard was simply unplayable. Brilliant performance from him

pretty good performance yesterday but the result was so key as spurs lost. puts us in the driving seat for 3rd spot and maybe even a late rally to finish 2nd? Mata and Hazard were unreal, seriously two of the best players i have seen wear this shirt! Lets not go too much into Lamps's latest milestone because i can be here all day talking about the legend! Feel a little sorry for Ba as i don't think being constantly rotated has helped his confidence.

If Ba wants to make it at a "big club", he needs to deal with rotation. Next season its more likely that another striker will arrive.
