Great finish by Moses and what a ball by Luiz for the first! Just heard that JT has a quarter of a second to get his hand out the way, impossible much?

I bet you guys will all be really pleased to hear that Uefa are launching a copycat version. That will only feature the academy teams of the teams in the CL....:@

The handball rule is ballsed up in Europe. You know its an automatic yellow in Spain?

Yeah JT got booked too lol.

Dammit Moses.

I am cursed, each time i mock someone for bad finishing in this thread, they score ridicolous goals next game.

Pfft. It'd be inferior, as proved by the results of this year's competition.

Professional performance from the lads tonight and its a healthy lead to take to Moscow which we should see out. Yossi did well tonight in fairness to him and Bertrand was sensational! My man of the match was Torres tonight, took both goals well and linked up very well.

won't know for a few days I reckon but looking at the way he went over i'd be very surprised if we saw him again this season was horrible to see i'd be surprised if he hasn't done his ligaments

That massively increases our top 4 chances, but there's only one Rafa.. so who knows.

From a very selfish point of view, Bale's injury is good news.

But honestly it looked horrible, hope it's just a sprain so he's out a couple weeks.

Do Rubin play in Moscow? I thought they played in Kazan...

They do normally but their ground hasn't been deemed suitable by Uefa so the second leg is being played in the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

Oh right, cheers for clearing that up, although I think I might've read that somewhere before anyway...

Quick question who would you guys start this weekend against Sunderland Torres or Ba? Torres could be confident after last night and he scored twice in the away fixture against Sunderland but Ba put in a very good performance on Monday and scored a great goal. I personally would just go for Ba but I wont be overly disappointed if Fernando starts.

So another 2 assists for Juan Mata yesterday. Add that brilliant assist for Ba's goal vs Manchester United. I decided to go take another look at the stats-

Juan Mata has played 50 games this season. 13 of them he came on as a substitute. In all competitions, he has scored 19 goals. One more than the great Fernando Torres. He has made an outstanding 25 assists in all competitions.

Lets not forget that most of the games he played behind an incompetent striker who might as well not have been there for all the good he did. Had to live through an inevitable managerial change. Had to adapt to a new set of players we brought in this summer.

Best player in the Premiere League this season? I'd certainly think so...

Heard that whole 'confidence' thing too many times. Stick with Ba upfront I'd say.
