If we adjust Ba's appearances in the league to match Torres', he scores roughly 5 goals to Torres' 8. On the other hand, he also had 4 cup goals to Torres' 3, taking them up to 9 and 11 respectively.

Ba was probably worse than Torres, but Mike. is overblowing it slightly. That said, neither were even good domestically last year.

EDIT: This is, of course, only taking into account Chelsea stats, since Ba got 14 in 20 for Newcastle last year too in the league. Considering Ba had to settle in to a new team, I'd call them about even really.

It's a shame how bad Torres was in the league considering he started last season pretty well scoring quite a few and around December time looked on course to possibly finish the season on at least around 15 league goals but unfortunately went back to his usual self and only scored 1 more league goal after December.

I have a rather sad feeling we will get beaten badly in the Super Cup :/

Chalobah signs a new long-term deal!!!!!! Brilliant. I want to see him in the first-team so bad.

Quite disappointed in our line up :( Lampard and Ramires together in the middle does not work ffs!!!

Say what you want about him domestically, but he's a bit of a beast on the European stage, Torres.

How Pep managed to turn the most dominative midfield of last season into midfield that struggles vs. Lampard + Ramires, is beyond my understanding.

When Torres scores a goal like that it just reminds you of his mersyside days what a beauty!!

David Luiz is a beast in the back !
Clearing everything ..too bad ivanovic can't handle alaba ..
bayern game is being forced through his side ..
