After today's defeat i thought i would look at something else.

Chelsea's record in Premier League games before a Champions League tie this season:
Everton 1-0 Chelsea
Tottenham 1-1 Chelsea
Chelsea 4-1 Cardiff
Newcastle 2-0 Chelsea
West Ham 0-3 Chelsea
Stoke 3-2 Chelsea
Chelsea 1-0 Everton
Aston Villa 1-0 Chelsea
Crystal Palace 1-0 Chelsea
Chelsea 3-0 Stoke.

Played-10, W-4, D-1, L-5

So with both these records from this season together maybe a little bit of positivity?

I don't even want to say much about today's game in general because the whole situation of what it probably means is just too much for me. All i'll say is that we will come back next season better than ever, we know where our weaknesses lie and they will be sorted as they always were going to be this summer.
Even if we fail to win a trophy this season its not all doom and gloom. This time last season we were in a Europa League semi final and 17 points behind top of the league Man Utd. The season before that we were at the same stage in the Champions League and 22 points behind top of the league Man City. Put all that into perspective and i think we all agree that this season without a "world class" striker has been an improvement silverware or no silverware.
WOLUTB

No matter how bad he was this season, that's not how you should treat the player who got you into CL final. I don't care. I don't want ot care; I:m off.

So because his goal got us to a Champs League final he should be immune from all criticism?

Massively hypothetical though don't you think? Did we struggle to create chances, 31 attempts would presume not. Maybe Hazard's willingness to take on players could have opened up more spaces but maybe it wouldn't have, it hasn't worked in every game this season. And i accept that's your opinion that its "been a failure for all involved this season" but i think your wrong. This time last season we were in an Europa League semi final and 17 points behind the leaders Man Utd. Personally i won't grumble.

Well you did spend all of that season playing musical chairs with your managers and then booing your own team for half the season.

Your squad is good enough to be challenging. The spin to say otherwise is tiresome.

No one can say 'oh well, we didn't expect to win the league anyway'

Before the season I thought chelsea would win it, with City just behind, then united and Arsenal. No doubt Chelsea have the team to win the league, but missing Hazard has really shown their weaknesses. That and the lack of a good striker, but I still thought you'd win the league. Still might, don't get me wrong, but you'll be third favourites now

If Rafa had been allowed to have the same money we'd have seen improvements too.

Indeed Chelsea were 2nd favourites at the start and then spent a long time being main favourites.

And this'll be the 8th season you haven't won the league. When does the transition excuse become shitness? United have a much bigger job on with our transition yet you won't hear many United fans being as pessimistic as Chelsea fans have been this year.

I personally thought of them as favourites simply because of their manager. As much of a **** Mourinho is, I'd have thought he'd be the winning formula. His failure to sign a world class striker's cost him massively, and honestly there's no excuse for why he hasn't signed one already

8th season?

Correction - booing the board and the manager, not the team. And i am not spinning anything, as i have repeatedly said i never expected us to win it.

Well i never expected it, felt we would challenge which we have but not a chance did i think we would win it and nailed my colors to that mask before a ball was kicked. Next season i fully expect us to win the Premier League, no excuses.

What's uo with all these hypothetical comments tonight! I say we wouldn't have improved, no way to prove it is there.

All that shows is that despite what people love to think money does NOT guarantee success otherwise both Chelsea and more recently City would have their name on all trophies which neither do. Transition started when Ancelotti was here, he actually started it by getting rid of the older players despite us just winning the domestic double. The change has never actually finished and that is what Jose is doing now.

He tried in Rooney but couldn't get him so went for a stop gap in Eto'o who to be fair despite being 1,287 has done quite well. But we always knew this season was an building season. Next season on the other hand i fully expect us to win the league.

And without a proper strikers runs we wouldn't have done it with a Mata player.

What? Last year Mata was setting defenses on fire with these same strikers. What changed?

Oh right. The manager changed.

Missing the point. But what the heck, you're Chelsea. Who cares about players, you can always buy anotherone.

Go watch Ramires' performances this season before coming on here mentioning a goal from 2 ******* years ago which has nothing to do with how he is performing and affecting the teams results now.

Everything has changed and changed for the better!

Haha seriously a joke! So because he scored such an important goal one time he should be allowed to stay at the club despite how poor his performances has been and may continue to be and immune from all criticism? You live in a very strange world.

Most of them were ****. It wasn't like we were really unlucky, or the strikers kept missing open goals: the chances we produced were simply not good enough. If anything, 31 attempts shows how lacking in creativity we were, as many of them were players just taking potshots because they couldn't pick the pass/no one was making the runs for them.

Maybe Hazard's willingness to take on players could have opened up more spaces but maybe it wouldn't have, it hasn't worked in every game this season.
Most of the games it hasn't worked in are the ones that we've either lost, drawn or won with a good dose of luck.

It's not enough. I was able to justify this as a transitional season because it looked like things were improving in most areas. Losing to Ateletico and coming 2nd in the title race because we got beaten at Anfield would have been painful but it would have been encouraging. Losing the title because of games at Sunderland and Villa?

That's just not good enough and it's those sloppy mistakes that Mourinho is supposed to prevent. Where's the relentless focus? Where's the never say die spirit? Where's the Chelsea that's able to grind out 1-0 and win the league?

OK, I'll explain one last time. He had poor season. Probably his last two seasons were poor. You want him out just like we want Young and Valencia out i.e. But he said that in such manner like he is disgrace not only to Chelsea, but to himself, England, Europe, whole ******* Earth, god himself and maybe even Zzeezzyy.
