Just because Chelsea aren't playing their strongest side doesn't mean they're playing a weak one. Have you actually saw your full squad-list on paper?

Have you see the amount of suspensions and injuries we have in crucial areas? Sure we have a buttload of attacking mids, but we have some weak parts in squad too, and multiple suspensions in CL don't help.

Why wouldn't it help? Surely Mourinho would play these stronger players who're suspended in the CL?

They don't help us in CL. As in, Luiz plays destroyer role in almost all big games and you must've noticed it, now with Lampard and Mikel suspended, he will have to be rested for Atleti game as there's no other midfield option. Ramires who doesn't get tired ever is suspended in PL and Matic/Salah are cup tied, so one of main AMs might be rested too along with Haza.

If Jose Mourinho was hoping to lull Brendan Rodgers into a false sense of security ahead of Sunday’s crunch Anfield showdown he has failed spectacularly.
The Liverpool FC manager knows the Chelsea boss too well to fall for his pre-match talk about ‘playing the kids’ and giving up on the Premier League title race.
“I don’t think Chelsea will play the kids because they never have done,” Rodgers told the ECHO.
“As a football club they have a wonderful academy there but young players don’t get the opportunity there. That’s one thing you can rule out – there certainly won’t be kids playing.”


“Whatever team they play will be more experienced and will have cost more than ours,” he said.
“I don’t go along with this talk about us facing a weakened Chelsea side. In fact I think it’s quite disrespectful.
“If you are Mohamed Salah, who has been brought in for big money, or Andre Schurrle, who was ?20million, or Frank Lampard – if guys like that are out there I don’t think you can call their team weaker.

I have never met Mourinho but it was blindingly obvious that he will not play the U-21 team at all. Furthermore, I doubt his intention here was to lull Rodgers into a false sense of security. Can we just face facts here ... Chelsea are 5 points behind Liverpool with no games in hand. They are relying heavily on Liverpool dropping points to other teams if they want to win the title. On the other hand, they are 2 games away from winning the CL. Destiny completely in their hands. My point is .. Mourinho isn't doing this to lull Rodgers into a false sense of security. He is doing this completely out of practical reasons. When he says he will play a weaker team, it's because he is doing it out of practical reasons

If Chelsea win the game then it'll be 2 points between them and with Liverpool travelling to Crystal Palace who are in some form.

That's not the point, where is hypocrisy in that?

Exactly ... Our destiny is out of our own hands. Because people are happy to term anything Mourinho does as 'mind games' these days, it's annoying
