Umm read what I said. At least Torres did look like a £50m player once upon a time. Luiz has never looked like one in his lifetime
Calm down, I said 'at the moment' ... It was obviously in jest to his horrific performance against Germany where he completely lost his head
And to be fair, while Torres and Sheva don't win us games ... At least they don't actively lose games at the rate Luiz does. Also I assume PSG were paying £50m for Luiz the defender and not Luiz the midfielder. In either scenario, he isn't worth £50m. At least, Torres and Sheva at their peak looked like £50m and £30m players respectively
Absolutely terrible at the WC, literally I think he was one of the worst players. It's high-time he starts talking the talk and putting in the performances he's supposedly capable of. No where near as good as he like to think to himself he is, nor that of his wage at Chelsea.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back to Lukaku... right.... so if Jose (Chelsea) didn't force him to go out on loan both of them times (which we can't be sure about).... the better solution was to sit on the bench for at least 50% of the games rather than play consistently at another club in the same league at a young age like he is? Right. Do a Ba and hardly play at all... that's great for development.
Like I said earlier, how can a player show himself capable if he doesn't get a run of games, he has shown what he's capable of at Everton and West Brom when this has happened.
It's so easy to judge a player at this WC and say oh look at this weakness or that..... if we are doing that we can say Hazard is semi-pro and Diego Costa is worse.
They are paying 50 Million for David Luiz the football player.
Does that make it any better? You got a player who struggled to look 10m.
Pp
Umm lol on the Hazard part literally. Yes he hasn't performed well in the WC and yes he does talk too much but he is one of the most talented players in the world. When literally every top coach has praised you and every major club was after your signature, that just about confirms it. His wages at Chelsea are also just 100k p/w which is pretty decent when you consider his obvious talent and the amount of competition we had for his signature.
Also his performances have been very good in the EPL, their is a reason he was selected to the EPL team of the season twice in a row and was the Chelsea Fan's Player of the Year as well as being called the 'best young footballer in the world' by Jose. Yes he can be more consistent and improve but he is only 23. Give him a break
Firstly, Lukaku asked to go on loan. That's pretty clear. He wanted regular game time in a WC year and didn't want to take the risk of losing game time to world-class strikers like Torres and Eto'o. Completely understandable. He did fairly well at Everton. Let's judge him based on that then. Nope he isn't good enough to start at Chelsea based on those performances and if you can't see it, you don't watch him enough or you are blind. No one judged him on his WC but we all have judged him based on his games at West Brom/Everton
You literally come here every time harping about Lukaku and get beaten back. When will you stop?
Please tell me you're joking... world class Torres and Ba?
I don't get beaten about anything, you don't give young players like him a fair chance unless they are already hyped up to be something when they come to the club (Hazard)... the only thing a striker needs to do ultimately is score goals and he's got good return at both Everton and West Brom whilst contributing to their games effectively... you honestly need to watch him it seems.
I was referring to Hazard's world cup performances and suddenly you start relating it back to the league... but won't do the same for Lukaku.... during his spells at West Brom and Everton.
Give him a run of games and see how he does.. you can't beat me over anything about what I'm saying because it's all truth Chelsea fans don't want to hear because they are used to the RA reign where money buys everything.
Funny how the tune has changed regarding David Luiz.
alcaraz dont get into it with him just think he is having 1 of those days
1. Yes I was being sarcastic ... Jesus
2. I do watch him. More than you clearly because I know he isn't good enough to start at Chelsea ahead of someone like Costa. He is a good player but he isn't ready to START for a club that wants to win it all. He is good enough to play a role but not START. This is based on his performances at Everton and West Brom and not the WC
3. I did the same for Lukaku. Stop straw manning me ...
4. So you are saying that we should cancel the deal for Costa so that we can try Lukaku? Boy I am sure glad you are not the Chelsea manager. As we have pointed out to you several times, it's too much of a risk. Why can't be like Schurrle? Wait for his opportunities to come and when they do come, grab them and establish a starting role?
Funny how you talk about money ... Guess which club is throwing the big money around now?
Simple question zzeezy ... Would you start Lukaku over RVP and give him a run of games in a starting role? Or would you rather he sit on the bench, wait for his opportunities and then grab them when they come?
I'm not saying Lukaku should be instant 1st choice... I'm saying you should give him a fair chance.... WHICH SO FAR YOU HAVE NOT... HE HAS GONE OUT ON LOAN AND BEEN GOOD HE CAN NOT DO ANY MORE.
Do you really want to go there? United's money is not oil money... it's all through what the club makes so we have a right to spend it more than anyone else who is funded by a Billionaire.
Further to the point... which is more relevant to what we are talking about... comparing United and Chelsea with the opportunity they give to younger players is almost laughable.
What a rubbish example... we've already been through this.... United have world-class options there like RVP and Rooney who would get into most teams at a canter. Of course Lukaku would struggle.... but you've had Torres and Ba and only just this summer bought a striker who may be in the top end of brackets.
What opportunities is he going to get now there is 3 strikers ahead of him? Assuming they all stay.
And he will be given a fair chance if he stays at Chelsea. Costa can't play 50 games in a season and will probably pick up a niggle or lose form at some point. That's when Lukaku will get his opportunity and if he grabs them like Schurrle did, he will establish himself. Right now, Lukaku is basically saying 'Either I am 1st choice or I am out'
Oh and you need to have a good look at finances of each club ... A large part of what Chelsea/City spend is the money they make through sponsorship deals plus the new TV revenues from the Premiere League. Saying it's all oil money is lazy in the extreme
