It is really embarrassing from spending 50 mil on a player to loaning them out for the remainder of their contract before releasing them but oh well Romans money not mine.

Actually he probably wants to avoid the embarassment of selling 50m flop for pack of used chewing gum and roll of toilet paper. This way there's no ridicolously low transfer fee and he gets to save face.

Hardly saving face when your only option to get rid of him is to loan him out till his contract runs out.

I feel upset that Torres never reached the heights we wanted and expected him to do so with us but i don't blame him for it at all. He goes with my best wishes and i hope/believe he will score on a regular basis for AC Milan in what is a slower league.

Yes he was collecting 170k a week and yes he did not play to the 50million standard we forked out for him but at the very least he was a trier. Instead of the Torres who missed that open goal at Old Trafford, got sent off vs Swansea, took 14 games to score his first goal or countless dribbles which ended up with him being dispossessed i will remember him for other things.

His first goal vs West Ham in the pouring rain, i think most Chelsea fans celebrated that goal like it was a cup winning one! I'll also remember him for that goal in the Nou Camp, hat-trick vs QPR, solo goal in the Europa League final and last but not least his hard work and persistence which won that match turning corner in Munich in 2012.

No way was he ever going to be worth 50million in the first place but even with all the good and bad weighed up the transfer itself was momentus for me. A club as massive as Liverpool and their main man, their #9, their hero wanted to join my club to win medals! That was the moment the penny dropped just how big we had become and for that i thank you El Nino.

Any normal side would have paid a proportion of his wages up front and just allowed him to leave on free. I assume this two-year loan is because Torres won't agree to such a thing and wants his full wage?

Hahaha couldn't help but burst out laughing at this sentence.

Disagree. He was worth £50 million. On talent, on form, the face of Liverpool.

It really is a shame that his career was ruined.

He was worth 50 mil at one point at Liverpool but not at the time we bought him. He was already playing well below his best for half a season at Liverpool before we were stupid enough to sign him instead of Aguero.

Yeah it was something like that also I don't think Chelsea wanted to pay a fee or something like that.

Not at the time we signed him he wasn't

"his career was ruined"

Rofl.

He ruined his own career, *****. Don't blame Chelsea for everything. Chelsea are responsible for cancer too right?

Liverpool share the majority of the blame for ruining his career. Rushing him back from all those injuries because they were toothless without him. Chelsea were the dumbfuck who paid £50m for a broken striker ...

And yes I am back :P

It's ridiculous how good Chelsea look this season. They were my tip before the season started but have started better than i thought

Transfer dealings have been brilliant this summer

Everton have been all over them and 2nd goal was offside, I know they've been good but just wondering if you're actually seeing the game.

One main thing he may mean that we are looking better at is taking our chances this season. We have had two and scored both and our striker has 3 in 3 where as last season it was not being able to create chances, not taking chances and a lack of goals from our strikers which cost us.

Yes, I'm not saying you haven't. But all I'm saying is this game has been dictated by Everton mostly.
