Selling Schurrle and loaning (?) Salah would balance it more or less out and just leave you one squad place open for a another new potential signing. So actually you'd probably be making money on this arrangement taking into consideration salaries etc.

I doubt we would let both Schurrle and Salah leave. Noises coming out from the club indicate that they don't want to lose any senior squad player but if they do, they will replace the player immediately. Chelsea weren't going to go after Cuadrado till the summer apparently but Salah's desire to move to find regular football seems to have forced their hand

I would really prefer not to lose Schurrle. He is a quality player as we all know and he is the best back-up for Hazard on the left. I was hoping for Reus in the summer to add some quality down the right but it seems that Cuadrado is also a decent fit

Hopefully we make a really marquee signing this summer. If it's not Reus then I hope we go all out for Pogba or Hummels. Both attainable targets that will take us to the next level

Schurlle to Wolfsberg then and De Bruyne to us nice little transfer triangle :)

De Bruyne is in my opinion class.I would hate it if he would end up with you guys. I know i am starting to sound like a broken record, but selling De Bruyne: wrong.

Cuadrado is a good move. My ideal moves on that position would be KdB or Sanchez, but there is no chance of any of those two moving to the Bridge.

Looks lik Salah is off to Roma on loan with a permanent deal in the summer for slightly more than £11m. Frees up space for Cuadrado. Good move if this happens

His biggest problem is that we had 3 promising right wingers and he was the one that was the biggest gamble. He needed to play week in week out, but to move above them he would have needed to really shine in the very limited time that he had. He didn't, so he stayed 3rd and didn't get the time he needed.

Sad, and I have no doubt that he will shine elsewhere, but you have to say that it's amazing business on Chelsea's part.

He also got severely gimped by Hazard stepping up another notch. Were it not for that, we might have seen more of Schurrle on the left and he might have had more game time.

OFF TOPIC:
Seems like Odegaard (16y.o.) is on an approximately 100k Euro deal per week (picked up by more than one source). Has the world gone mad?

Not surprising. He has been expertly marketed to all of Europe's top clubs and he is a very talented player. It was always going to take something big to get him to sign. Then again, I am not sure that a players potential can really be judged so early. Many look like world-beaters at 16 before only looking Sunday league quality in their later years. Look at Freddy Adu

Obviously I am in no position to judge but let's hope he continues to work hard and make a good career and not be sidetracked by the early fame and money

You seriously believe that? Would make him a better earner than Casillas or Ramos if true who both earn somewhere around 90-100k.

Reports coming out that we've had a £23m bid accepted for Cuadrado. On the topic of Odegaard, if his wages are £80k pw he earns more than Oscar, Dave and Matic... Well played kid.

Douglas Costa quoted saying "It's a dream to play at Chelsea, it's a unique chance. I will try to negotiate" to GloboEsporte.com. He also told reporters than an initial bid was rejected, but Costa will talk to head coach Lucescu to try to make sure a deal is agreed.

I am in two minds about the Cuadrado deal. He's versatile, well balanced and offers lots of the things that we're missing on the left at the moment, but he doesn't feel like that much of an upgrade over Willian. If we're going to sell Schurrle, I'd much rather it was for someone like Reus.

Surely Cuadrado plays on the right and its the right side we have problems on as Hazard occupies the left?
