Did not prove much in the Copa for his country. Getting knocked off the ball and having a touch like an elephant. Just cant see anyway he is getting back, just watching him play you can see he is frustrated. His mind is telling him yes but his body just wont let him. And he is gonna be more shot now after Martinez has replaced him for Columbia.

Then we are no better off than last season

Low risk-high reward deal for us. Can't see much wrong with it. Falcao is always worth a punt

For sure! Similar with us last season. Don't get me wrong being a football lover I would love for him to get back to his best, truly world class STR. But have seen nothing last season to make me think he will. And hes been worse in the Copa. Like you said no risk really.

Dude, and I'm NOT playing the devil's advocate here the whole Columbia team was balls this year.

Yes I know. But Falcao was poor is what im saying and still showed no signs of improvement despite having a whole season of fitness under his belt. Infact some games he looked worse.

I'm not okay with this transfer at all. However, if we keep Remy as #2 striker, I'm inclined to accept it more or less. Let's just hope those two are fit and on-form.

To be honest I never really pay to much attention to players form during international competitions.

Just wondering what your thoughts are tbh on your STR situation. Costa hardly fit, Falcao just gone on the evidence of things and cant really be counted on and Remy who is a bit meh but solid? Not really the best imo.

Costa's fine, he was quality against Sydney FC last month. Remy's a solid ST for the Prem and early CL matches. The only ST I'd raise questions about is Falcao at the moment. I think that's a pretty good strike force, given they all stay fit of course.

That's what I mean. Records suggest they cant. Was not a dig in anyway! But baring Aguero and Costa when fit and Rooney when played as a STR the state of STRs in the Prem are pretty poor in general.

am i the only 1 in thinking that jose will some how get falcao fireing again and then just sit back lol his head off

In the main I think you are. Chelsea fans I have spoke to at work or on Forums aren't keen and really did not want him.

It's all good mate, I know it wasn't a dig. Anyway I'm not particularly worried about the potentially injury problems, I just can't see Costa, Remy and Falcao all being out at the same time (Touch wood). The main reason I'm not worried though is because Costa's not exactly what I'd call injury prone, I know he's had problems with his hamstring, but I don't think it's a big issue. I wouldn't say the state of Prem strikers is poor, I think it's more a case of top level strikers being so hard to find.

Yeah could be a bit of both tbh. Will have to see what the next gen brings like Dybala,Vietto,Icardi,Kane,Morratta etc.

I just think with Costa he's never really had enough time to fully recover from the hamstring injury he first picked up at Athleti, until the end of last season and now. But being rushed back for the CL final didn't help and neither did the WC. Also when he was scoring goals for fun at the beginning of the season Mourinho even admitted that Costa wasn't fully fit. Yeah, I think Vietto has everything you need to become a top level striker and as I've said before, I wouldn't be surprised to see his name and a £40m+ price tag next to it within a couple of years.

Yeah just looks class same as Dybala. Juve and Atletico will get huge fees if they ever sell.

I think that's a bit harsh on him. He's not an elite player but he's still a great option to have on the bench. I'd much rather we we get an AM and a CM this window than another striker tbh.

Happy Birthday to one of the greatest players in the history of Chelsea FC and one of my personal favs. BOY DO I LOVE THIS GUY!
