So unfortunate to have Baggio and Del Piero around at the same time or else he'd of had a good deal more caps than he ended up with.

That's some transfer ban Barca have aye. Seriously though not too bothered about us not signing him yes I would of welcomed him had he joined but really wasn't desperate for us to get a deal done.

Turan's agent on the deal...

"We didn't talk to Chelsea at any moment. Barcelona has always been Arda's first choice."

Still I would've loved for us to sign him, but at the same time I'm not exactly disappointed we didn't.

I'd rather have a defensive midfielder, if Mikel is set to leave. Creative ones, we have.

It's only July mate, still plenty of time left yet.

One rumour that I've seen and loved, although I can't see it being true, is that we're interested in Isco. Would love to see that happen tbh but I doubt Real will give him up.

I know mate, it's probably just that by around this time last season we had all our business wrapped up and I'm just being impatient. However even the rumours have died down of late.

Yeah, I saw that rumour and I think it's just paper talk. Also I read that it might mean us selling Oscar and if that's the case, I'd sooner we kept Oscar than buy Isco. But talking about transfers, I honestly can't see us signing a 'marquee player' in this window and that's because there's not really a lot of players available who would actually improve our starting eleven. I can see us signing more squad type players, like Begovic, Falcao etc. Having said that you never know with Abramovich.

Omid Zamani @OmldZamani SKY Italia confirms #Augsburg's Baba Rahman has rejected #Chelsea's offer. Baba has chosen #ASRoma.

He started to look pretty darn good the last 10 games or so of the year at Milan FWIW. Took him a good while to settle (and the ongoing carnage around him last season on and off the pitch in Milan didn't help); but once he did he was really starting to show promise. Kid certainly has ability.

The less said about the 'ambitions' of Begovic the better. Modern day footballers. SMH.

DONE DEAL: Josh McEachran has completed his move away from Chelsea, signing a four-year-deal with Brentford.

Absurd waste of talent. He was so good for his age but has advanced in no way since then. You could put it down to bad luck but his failure to bulk out or adjust his defensive workrate hints at something less unavoidable. I honestly hope he can get his head out of his **** and start living up to his potential but I doubt it will happen.

He was getting an absurd wage at such a young age as well. Plus the constant managerial changes did nothing to help either. Ancelloti saw him as a No.6 whereas AVB saw him as a No.10 which obviously wasn't ideal at such a young age. Not to mention some terrible loan decisions such as sending him to Swansea early on where he didn't get a game

It's completely understandable. His early senior career was a complete rollercoaster and I can see how you would get jaded with it very quickly. I don't blame the guy, but he definitely wasn't one of those youth players who was giving their all from the start of their time with us until the end.
