i really don't think you've been all that bad, especially when you compare the team sheets, its not been a bad performance by all accounts, i just think Houlier never actually set his stall out today to win it.

Me neither. Some encouraging performances (Bannan, Herd, Dunne, Clark), and some bad ones (Heskey, Agbonlahor, most definitely Petrov).

Still, the vitriol of some Villa fans is ridiculous.

3-0. Silva. Pfft. No marking.

Great finish... shame really for villa, not really sure they deserve that in the second half.

Nice timing with the substitutions Houllier. Thought Villa were slowly getting back into the game by showing more fight in the second half

Bendtner and Diaby and Rosicky OFF

Wilshere and Nasri and Clichy ON

Quite strange as were 4-0 up but meh as long as they don't get injured -touch wood-

I honestly waver from happiness to despair with Houllier, his subs are at times appalling. Too little, too late now Gerard...

Clichy and Wilshere on for Bendtner and Diaby, could be worse people to bring on.

OptaJoe Opta Sports
358 - Days since Nicklas Bendtner's last hat-trick, in a 5-0 win v Porto on March 9 2010. Annual.

Was it Diaby? Missed that saw Rosicky limping off the pitch assumed it was him..

Will the travelling fans get their money back? Will we get fined for fielding a weakened side? :S

Think Petrov should refund the fans after tonight. Absolute shocker. Only player I can say was Villas MOM is probably.......Dunne I guess. Like Bannan though. seems nifty

Nasri came on for Rosicky as well.

And Clichy gets just his second goal for the club to make it 5-0.

Some positives..

It's confirmed that our best CM partnership is Makoun and Reo Coker.

Herd and Bannan look promising.

Dunne and Clark work well.

That is all.

Oh, and the ultimate insult. Jo has come on.

And Kyle Walker is now on the field :)

Not only has Houllier lost us this game, he's lost a lot of support tonight, he didn't even have the balls to give it a go. I can't even think of a reasonable reason why, it's not like we have a congested fixture list...

Whatever, onwards and hopefully upwards.

Freekick on the edge of the area, willing to bet anyone Young blazes it over.

:D Yeup... **** me, Ash, that was a surprise. Fancy you hoofing a free kick over the bar by miles.

Love the typical brummy sense of humour from the villa fans then, keeping the ball and celebrating the other ball going in XD

I would like to think though, that the Man City players are professional enough, to realise that they can't just show up at Reading and expect to win comfortably. We made that mistake and got our backsides kicked.

edit-forgot its a home tie for Man City
