Milan are a club who throughout their history, have dominated world football. They have won 7 Champions Leagues (2nd most of any club), as well as 18 Serie A titles, however this is the same as great rivals Inter, and 11 less than the great Juventus. The two Milan clubs have slipped behind Juventus, and are being threatened by Italian clubs on the rise such as Roma and Napoli. It is time for this to change, and there is only one man for the job.
The Manager
Paulo Maldini. The King of Milan.
Paulo Maldini. The King of Milan.
After making his debut in 1985, he played his entire 25 year career at Milan. He has made the record amount of appearances for Milan. He was the conductor in Milan's success in the 1990s and early 2000s, as well as making defending an art. At the age of 45, this is his first attempt at management, however the whole of the Milan support have his full backing that he will help Milan return to their glory days.
Aims
-Become the most successful team in Champions League history and overtake the great Real Madrid. (First to 10?!)
-Focus on nurturing Italian talent rather than spending big on foreigners.
-Drag Milan back to becoming the European Giant they once were.
Key Players and Youth Prospects
-Super Mario is by far our best player at the club currently. We will be heavily relying on the 22 year old for goals this season.

-Adil Rami, will be our boss at the back, after recently joining from Valencia.

-Stephan El Shaarawy, despite being only 20 he will be a key player for us this season.

-Bryan Cristante and Andrea Petagna are our most exciting prospects, we will try to give these two first team football where possible.

-We will of course be keeping a close eye on young Christian Maldini, the great Paulo's son is on loan at Brescia.

Transfers Targets
Out
-Phillipe Mexes. Although the French defender is a decent player, he is costing the club almost ?150,000 a week in wages.
-Sully Muntari. Same situation, I would've liked to have kept the Ghanean rock in midfield, but when he comes with almost ?100,000 a week in wages he is surplus to requirements, especially with the presence of Essien.
-Urby Emmanuelson. Not sure about this one yet. He may also not be needed by the club. If we can bring in a left back we will probably let him go.
-Marco Amelia. The goalkeeper is sat as a back-up to Abbiati. However at 31 we may need to cash in on him while we can.
Targets
-Centre Back. Options for this position include David Astori, Mateo Mastachio, as well as Marco Capuano.
-Left Back. If we do sell Emmanuelson it is likely another left back will need to be brought in. Ricardo Rodriguez maybe too good for us to watch pass by if we can get him for a reasonable price. Davide Santon another possibility.
-Goalkeeper. Salvatore Sirigu is the only player who really interests me here. If we can bring him in for a good price then we almost certainly will, he could be a fairly long term replacement for Abbiati.
-Youth. Mario Pugliese, Alberto Cerri and Georgio Rasulo of MK Dons are all interesting me as potential youth stars of Milan.
Note: this is my first story so if you have any tips about the layout or anything please let me know. Also any feedback is much appreciated!
