Update / January 2014

6/1/14 - Inter v Milan

A fairly disappointing game by the Milan derby standards, with the match finishing 0-0. The teams where fairly evenly matched, however we looked the most likely to score with Inter finishing the game with only 1 shot on target, we just couldn't put one away.

11/1/14 - Milan v Udinese

A solid game from our point of view. We came out straight away and blew Udinese away, they had no chance with us going 3-0 inside 20 minutes! The whole team were superb, however Kaka was the highlight pulling the strings in his trequarista role.

15/1/14 - Milan v Livorno (TIM Cup 1st Round)

Livorno looked surprisingly good during this match. When they went 1-0 up Maldini and his men feared the worst, however we responded brilliantly, turning the match around within 15 minutes. This win puts us into the quarter finals against Roma.

19/1/14 - Milan v Cagliari

Cagliari definitely came away from the San Siro knowing that they had been lucky to achieve a point. Milan dominated throughout the whole match, with 63% possession and 21 shots, however we were no where near clinical enough, and we were punished.

22/1/14 - Milan v Roma (TIM Cup Quarter Final)

To be honest we deserved to win in 90 minutes and we were unlucky not to do so. Nainggolan's last minute sending off reduced Roma to 9 men by the end of extra time with an injury to Pjanic forcing him off. We won 7-6 on Penalties, to give us a semi final fixture against Sampdoria. This is Maldini's first real chance at silverware as a manager!

26/1/14 - Atlanta v Milan

In some ways we were lucky to collect all 3 points at Atlanta. Balotelli strayed offside twice early on meaning he scored 2 goals which were disallowed. Denis then scored immediately after, it didn't look like it would be Milan's day. However La Rossenari fought back brilliantly to win 2-1, with Kaka's late winner.

29/1/14 - Milan v Bologna

It's amazing how we didn't score this game, let alone win it. We played Bologna off the park, and if Balotelli wasn't having one of those days, we would of destroyed them. Balotelli ended up scoring 2 again, both of which were disallowed. A disappointing game, we will have to move on quickly.

Transfers?

Not a very busy month at all transfer wise for Milan. We were looking at a long term replacement for Kaka, with players such as Arda Turan and Juan Quintero on the shortlist, however we don't have the financial power at the moment to make it happen. The only outgoings were loans, the most important being a loan move for young Michael Fabbro to Venezia. There were also no immediate incomings, however Milan have secured the signature's of two very promising youngster.

Guido Vadala

Argentinian wonderkid Guido Vadala has been bought by Milan for 3.5 Million euros. He is only 16, however looks like he has a very bright future ahead of him. Hopefully he will be able to develop into a top class player. We were looking into signing Moi Gomez, however Villereal wouldn't settle for a deal less than 10 million euros which I wasn't willing to pay. I look forward to seeing how well he develops!

Osman Hadkzicic

With no real back up goalkeeper at the club apart from Abbiati who has been injured all season, we looked into signing a young goalkeeping prospect. Osman is looks the real deal already, he is a well rounded keeper with excellent reflexes and handling. Did I mention we got him for free? Milan look forward to him joining at the end of the season!

Other News

Marco Capuano is still developing well, and is starting to look like a bargain at only 2.5 Million euros, Rami and him working together well off the pitch as well as on it.

Finances

Finances looking very promising indeed! Look at that predicted balance/transfer budget after just 2 seasons!

Serie A Table

That draw with Bologna has set us back slightly, with Juventus now 3 points ahead with a game in hand. Roma have had a good month and are now tied with us in 2nd.

February's Fixtures

A very busy month ahead, which includes 3 matches against Sampdoria as well as the beginning of the Europa League knockout stages.

Does anyone know why the Vadala screenshot isnt working?!

Quintero is very good mate, also keep an eye on James Rodriguez as I snapped him up on the cheap from Monaco. Was worth 33 million yet they sold him for 11 to me haha

****** ****, how did you manage that?! Would love to get either of them. If our finance projection isn't lieing then it looks quite likely. I either need a replacement for Kaka, who has been quality this season as a trequarista, he is getting too old though, or someone to partner Balotelli up top...

Think he was unsettled. At first i tried to sign De Bruyn but he went to Man City :@ (I was going to spend 30 mil on him aswell!)

So after he made his choice I clicked 'find similar players' and Rodriguez popped up, I thought I may as well get a scout report and it said estimated - 11 mil! Bid that and got him for similar wages to what I'd of payed for De Bruyn but a lot less in transfer fees!
