You've got the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and the Bundesliga as undoubtedly the best four leagues in the world, but what is 5th?

Pretty much just carrying on from the other thread as it was going pretty off topic.

French or Dutch imo.. hard to say.

maybe brazil - very competitive over there

I feel that by far it is the French league, I think they'd probably slip 4th ahead of Germans for me, Marseille will be a scary opposition in a few years.

Portugal and Holland just behind for me with greece, turkey, ukraine and russia just behind them

That Armenian league is pretty feisty, from what I've heard.

1. La Liga
2. Premier League
3. Serie A
4. Bundesliga
5. Ligue 1

I'd say Portuguese or French, mainly based on success in Europe more than anything

French, Dutch, Portuguese then Brazilian. In that order, imo.

The French leagues are better in Europe? Please. Marseille are the only team to win the Champions League and that was back in '93. Even when Lyon were at their most dominant, they failed to reach a final, whereas Ajax have won the Champions League how many times?

The French leagues are well documented for failing in Europe.

1- Premiership
2-La Liga
3-Seria A
4-Bundesliga
5-French
6-Brazil
7-Dutch

EPL
BBVA
BUNDESLIGA
LIGUE 1
SERIE A
EREDEVISIE
LIGA SAGRES
SERIE A (Brazil)

Edit: the Bundesliga has more viewership (i.e. fans going to the games) than any other league in the World (this is mainly due to the fact that they had the WC in 2006 though) but thats a fact and it is one of the best leagues in Europe by far, the Italian league is so boring and mediocre!

La Liga
PremierLeague
Serie A
Bundesliga
Ligue 1
Liga Sagres (Portugese)

Talking present day, not past. Lyon seem to make it to the knockout stages regularly nowadays whereas dutch teams tend not to

Really depends how you interpret 'better'. Obviously you're going by past success but I think a lot of people who have chosen Ligue 1 are saying it's better in terms of the quality of the teams, and the league itself.

One team does not define how good a league is.

The general standard of football is higher in the Dutch League.

La Liga
EPL
Serie A
Bundesliga
Portuguese/french
Russian
Dutch
Turkey
