I'd go with this, but its very close between the Bundesliga and Serie A, the former has improved considerably imo.

Again, poor argument.

a) 5 or 6 stars does not show the quality of the league overall.
b) You haven't even used the Dutch league's best players, lmao.
 
You only have to compare the squads on FM to see that French > Dutch, and I'm sure SI have scouted it a lot more than most people on this site
 
Seriously, don't use FM in a real-life footballing discussion.
 
The Russian league is also a very good one, in that a team recently promoted won the league (Rubin Kazan) shortly after being promoted.

I knew it would get that response, but I don't think it's a terrible arguement in this instance. The proof of league coefficiants and the opinions of FM scouts has to count for something.

You haven't provided any arguement to prove otherwise

Seriously, what you want is everyone to agree with you that the Dutch league is better, right? I haven't used Dutch league's best players? Okay, I admit I missed Bryan Ruiz, but other than that?

Okay let's talk about facts. In the past 5 years, top French teams has done way better than top Dutch teams in the CL. Lyon was in the semi finals last season, while Bordeaux went undefeated in a group consisting of Juventus and Bayern Munich and reaching the quarter-finals. Even in the Europa League French teams had done better than the Dutch teams. It is clearly reflected by the UEFA coefficients. It's not like the Dutch like is even remotely close to Ligue 1. 5th place and 9th place is quite far apart. Now let's talk about the overall quality of the league. Results like 10-0, 8-1, 7-0 etc appears quite often and players like Alfonso Alves(45 goals in 39 appearances) could score bucketloads of goals.

Long story short, French Ligue > Dutch Eredivise.

League co-efficients prove only how well individual clubs have done in Europe. Regularly watch the Dutch league, then come back to me.

Ruiz, Douglas, Ron Vlaar, De Zeeuw etc. Although, that still means nothing to the overall quality of the league.

How well individual clubs fair in Europe is a completely different ball-game to the overall quality of the league. You've used the fact there are high-scoring matches to show the league isn't quality - doesn't really make sense to me.

Alfonso Alves was adapted to the Dutch league. His game is suited to the Dutch league and he was very good there. The Premier League is overall a lot better and obviously far more physical. Everyone knows it's very tricky to adapt to.
 
It must mean something that the Dutch teams haven't done well in European tournaments.
 
Granted, it is a small indicator, but seriously, I don't understand how anyone can argue this case without actually watching the league...
 
To be fair, I've already said I don't watch much Dutch or French football, but I'm not going to take on your opinion just because you do.

Also, doesn't many high scoring games show weaknesses in defence and organisation? Don't get me wrong, they are entertaining games but so are sunday league games
