The Gaffer has made a sensational start to life at Brighton, remaining unbeaten across his first ten Premier League matches.

It began with a statement 2–1 win over Man City, followed by a goalless 0–0 draw with Spurs. From there, the Gaffer really found his rhythm, with Brighton sweeping aside Nott'm Forest 4–0, Crystal Palace 2–1 and Brentford 5–0 before a 1–1 draw with Birmingham.

The momentum continued in October as Brighton claimed three more victories — 2–1 over Bournemouth, 2–1 over Leeds and 3–1 against Everton — before rounding off the run with a hard-fought 3–3 draw against Man Utd.

The only blemish came in the Carabao Cup, with Brighton suffering a 1–0 defeat to Birmingham.

10 Premier League games: 7 wins, 3 draws, 0 defeats. The Gaffer has arrived at Brighton with a bang, and suddenly the question isn't whether he can compete in the Premier League — it's just how far this side can go.

1st Jan 2034 Update: Brighton Flying High

The Gaffer continued his impressive first season at Brighton, although the run became a little more unpredictable heading into the festive period.

November opened with a thrilling 3–3 draw against Man Utd, before Brighton edged past Norwich 4–3 and held Arsenal to a 2–2 draw. The month ended with a frustrating 1–0 defeat to Newcastle, bringing the first real setback of the campaign.

December, however, saw Brighton respond brilliantly. They beat Aston Villa 4–2, Man City 1–0, Ipswich 3–0, Stoke 5–1 and Wolves 3–1, with the victory over Man City another huge statement. There were defeats against Chelsea 1–0 and Liverpool 2–1, but the overall run remained extremely strong.

The new year began in perfect fashion, with Brighton beating Nott'm Forest 2–0 to extend the momentum.

Across these 12 league games, the Gaffer recorded 7 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats. After arriving at Brighton in the summer, he's rapidly turned them into a side capable of taking points off some of England's biggest clubs.

After 30 games, Brighton find themselves sitting top of the Premier League by a single point. What began as a shock move for The Gaffer has now turned into an extraordinary title challenge.

There are just eight games remaining, and the fixture list leaves absolutely no room for complacency. The run-in begins with an FA Cup quarter-final against Hull, before Brighton return to league action against Wolves, Stoke and Liverpool.

Then comes the huge one: Man Utd at home, before the final three fixtures against Everton, Leeds and Bournemouth.

BRIGHTON ARE PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS! ​

It was the perfect ending to a remarkable season for The Gaffer.

With Brighton entering the final day two points clear of Man Utd, the equation was simple: win at former club Bournemouth, and the title was theirs.

And Brighton didn't just win — they blew the door off.

Brighton ran out 5–1 winners over Bournemouth, with Kostoulas opening the scoring after just five minutes. Bournemouth briefly threatened to spoil the party when they scored halfway into the first half, but Brighton responded in devastating fashion. Goals from Kostoulas, Kostoulas again and Tufegdzic turned the afternoon into a party on the South Coast.

While Brighton was putting five past Bournemouth, Man Utd could only manage a 0–0 draw with Chelsea.

The final table tells the story: Brighton 85 points. Man Utd 81.

From a shock summer move to Brighton, to leading the club to the summit of English football in his very first season — The Gaffer is a Premier League champion.

And fittingly, he sealed it against the club he had left just a year earlier.
