Whaaaat!? Fail in Europe!?

Ac Milan won Champions league/ European cup 7 times and been runner up 4 times!

Inter have won it 3 times and came runner up 2 times. + Europa league 3 wins 2RU

Juventus won it twice and came runner up six times! + Europa league 3 wins, 2 RU

Italy have won the European championship once and the ****** world cup 4 times and came runner up twice.
Not to mention Juventus were in the final this year lol

Reading last few pages, I don't think Liverpool fans agree with what I'm saying. It looks completely different.
If you read the last few pages you would see someone has already made a post identical to yours and marshal already replied to it. Just because a few of the vocal minority are blasting Sterling doesn't mean everyone is.

Fair enough if that's the case. I haven't read all the posts in the last few pages.

I was taking about the last 5 years. Other clubs like Parma and Lazio used to be top European teams over a decade ago. Remember Spanish side Depotivo La Coruna? I think that in 2013-14, no Italian club made the knockout stages. Juventus were considered outsiders in the champions league this year. Serie A had its glory a decade ago.

Apparently Sterling missed training again today.

Raheem Sterling misses training for the second successive day through illness.

I think the majority have the same opinion as me (could be wrong, however)

- Sterling is a good player, one of our best and could potentially get even better
- Was superb up until christmas, dire after it
- His actions since have caused a complete dislike towards him from the majority of the fanbase
- £50 million for a person who has never hit double figures in assists or goals seems fantastic as is the reason most wouldn't mind seeing him leave
- Ibe has the potential to be the next Sterling - or better - but is not near the level of Raheem yet

I think that basically covers it. Hopefully this just gets sorted out quickly and everyone can move on, because it is becoming very tedious

Inter won it in 2010 ;)

Only Chelsea have won in in the last 5 years from England too

NO Liverpool player was anything approaching 'superb' before Christmas last year. They were pretty much all dire. To claim Sterling was the best player the first half of the year (strongly debatable) would be saying VERY little giving the rest, to a man, (him included but there's that debate) ALL where missing. ****, in his defence, Rodgers was playing him as a frigging forward which made him look even worse being as he can't finish for **** 9 times out of 10.

And Coutinho didn't have 'a few good games' in the second half of the year. He was our most influential outfield player by a Country mile most every game. Even when it turned to absolute **** the run-in he was still the only one with any quality giving much of anything. Workrate and ability. And all this came with a manager totally under utilising his talents by playing him completely out of position.

But hey, the 'all important' stats suggest otherwise so he wasn't that good after all.

Yes, superb was too strong - my point was more so he was our best player before Christmas. I dont personally think there is any doubt about that

The point being he's being put up by others, whenever this comes up, as being somehow key to us last year, particularly the first half; to show what we're losing. He wasn't. He isn't.

Even if you say he was the best player the first half, that says VERY little to the rest of them as he was still pretty darn poor. Again, not helped at all being played up front.

But no Liverpool player came out of the first half of the year with much of ANY credit if we're honest.

And nobody, outside of really Coutinho and Mingolet who was left exposed time after time, take much of any credit for the season as a whole.

I personally disagree... Sterling was a rare bright-light in the first half of the season

In what games did he really standout? 'Spurs he performed well. But then that was the only time we put a consistent 90 minutes together that looked anything like the previous year all season. Against Bournemouth's scrubs the League Cup? That followed a shocking game at Old Trafford where he missed a shed load of chance in a 3-0 loss that should of been a 5 or 6-3 win. Oh, he had a good opening day too against Southampton. After that I'm REALLY struggling.

And that's not so much a knock-on Sterling as the whole sorry job lot of them as we where absolutely shocking the first half of the year in particular.

I think you're giving him WAY more credit than he or any of them for that matter deserve personally.

I am a Leeds fan so I have so much love for that Baldy Genius its untrue, as his time at Liverpool showed we should have never let him go in the first place.

I desperately wanted him to succeed when he came to manage us and we actually played decent stuff under him too, it just didn't work out.

Last real top bracket player Scotland have produced IMHO.

Just a real shame I only got to see him for 2 season's. He completely changed the run-in to our second treble in 2001. We lost to you lads at Anfield Good Friday and thought we'd blown the Champions League (Ferdinand scored the winner I seem to recall); then came the Derby on Easter Monday and THAT free kick in injury time to win a pulsating game. Then a penalty to beat Barca the UEFA semi the Thursday, and another against Tottenham the Sunday and he was off on a ridiculous consecutive goal scoring run. He'd hardly start before that, just coming off the bench. But when Houllier did put him in he pulled it all together. Classy, CLASSY player and man. And some of those free kicks man .....

I don't think people outside of the clubs he's played at appreciate just how good Gary Mac was. Loved at Leicester. Absolute living Leg-end at Leeds. And complete cult hero at Anfield where he barely had two years. Says it all. And a wonderfully gracious and humble fella' to boot.

Well at least one young Englishman has half a brain ..... Berahino has dumped Aidy Ward.

Screw Benteke. Go get this man! We'll make do whilst he develops, but with that talent potential ..... Go get this kid!

Ticks ALL Boston's boxes.
