Can is out of the game today. His fault at the goal had an negative impact on him.

Funny looking at Henderson sat there in a suit and tie.

If ever you see him around town or if you're ever up Formby way, he's ALWAYS in swets. He just doesn't do dressing smart ha ha. And he always has a bag of sweets he's dipping into. Must be his vice.

Benteke could have had a hattrick already, get your finishing boots on son.

Crystal Palace have some serious love for Liverpool. Always ******* on their parade.

Ugh. Frustrating day against what's fast becoming our new bogie team.

Benteke has his shooting boots on (he owes my fantasy team at least a brace) that's different but it was pretty sloppy in a lot of areas. Well done Palace. Like to see the penalty appeals on Benteke and Ibe again. Hopefully Sakho's not too bad.

Frustrating to enter the break with a loss but an excellent first month overall. Two weeks to prepare and be two weeks further down the line for City now.

Can was poor, Benteke wasn't at his best. Almost all of them looked like they were playing at 70%. Just a poor game in general, rub it off and go again.

Is Liverpool the only team not marking posts during corners? Seems so odd not marking posts when they struggled defending set pieces all last season and still they haven't done anything about it.

Yeah, that's been a constant for a decade and more now.

We rarely beat the first man taking a corner. And when we do it's often floated and easy to defend instead of whipped. And the lack of both men on a post and zonal marking from corners continues to haunt us. a man on either post, and pick up the men, It's not tricking rocket science. And pulling everyone back is crazy too. You leave at leat one up, it forces two to go with him. Opportunity to win a clearance and two less men attacking.

Frustrating.

Top 4 wide open this season but we've got to careful not to fall too far behind already

City next aswell where unless there is an upset we'll be further behind those in front of us

I've never understood the obsession with having men on the posts. You're taking two players out of the marking system on the assumption that you'll loose the contest in the air. You won't need men on the posts if you win the ball since the ball won't go goalwards if you don't loose the contest in the air.

I guess it's just a difference in coaching methods.

On the plus side we avoid defeat at City, and that's the run of top aways negotiated with only one defeat at Utd. Set's things up nicely.

If City play the way they did today against you you'll have nothing to worry about. They were poor against Villa
