LONG way off like, but looking ahead to the Europa final in Basle will be epically fun trying to get a hold of something.

UEFA, being their usual **** bag selves (caring about the fans my pasty white **** you horrible little French rat yer), are giving the competing clubs 6,000 tickets apiece. Which when players, officials and shareholders have taken their cut, we're reliably informed will be down to about 5,000.

That's in Basle. Switzerland. Piece of **** to get to. We took 50 thousand to another frigging Continent in 2005. (Most of us landed the Asian side of Istanbul.). And let's say, for arguments sake, Utd drop in and went all the way. It would be absolute, unadulterated carnage trying to get in there.

Yeah the twenty is plenty needs to come in badly, imo away support can make the atmosphere as you bounce off each other.

Keep on saying something has to give and people can't keep sustaining these prices but top flight crowds just aren't dropping.

Hopefully Country wide protests well step up particularly when the new TV deal kicks in and the greedy twats will doubtless still be charging ridiculous prices.

Away games will be the best you ever go to. Just wouldn't recommend it if you don't like a bit of physicality.

Oh yeah I agree Leeds have been on about doing it for ages but we have probably the best away support in the championship as we regularly sell out so its in our fans interests. Its not too bad in championship but if we ever get back up I am not looking forward to some of the prices I'll pay. I know its a while back and there is inflation etc but european away days were nearly the same with flights and hotels than some prices now ;)

Yeah going away is the best, the match is great but its getting bevvied up on the coach and all the singing I like the best.

You ever done Europe much Tezz? Duty free alcohol and a plane full of fans is ******* mental! Its one of the things I miss most about being a Leeds fan, I was only 16-18 myself but its better than a lads holiday ;)

We need another boycott like we did at Hull the other year which was magnificent at such short notice to get so many staying away. Really needs to be a big, high profile game to send the message out that enough is another. Arsenal the start the season was planned but then our fan group and Arsenal's managed to sway Arsenal to drop the prices down, and Liverpool took additional money off through the money they get to help fans from the PL so it never happened.

Wishful thinking as there's too many would go regardless just because of the nature of the game, but it'd brilliant to get together with the Utd fans and leave either ground a massive percentage empty for that game.

We seriously don't appreciate the power we could have as fans in this Country if we just stuck together as one.

But at least things are slowly starting to happen.

I really hope so, it needs to happen soon though because the more the TV deal goes up the less power match going fans have. It won't be long that if a big match atmosphere is flat sky will put artificial fan noise over the match (if they don't already). Radio stations have done it in the past.

Lol. Getting too old for that **** now. We tend to do our own thing, and go to decent, quite bars and restaurants that we know all our little knobs won't be anywhere near and still have a boss trip. (And boy do we have some knobs who invariably act up in Europe.).

But yeah, I'm with the sentiment. Some of the tales I could tell from back in the day would get me banned lol.

Awww lad, lol. Spent last Saturday in Burton. Free Sat'day. Another mate who's right up there in this long standing attempt to get the current 92 done's wife was away so he was freed up and we took advantage to add a new ground. Not a real ale drinker per se. Burton's a great real ale drinking town. Long story short things got messy Sat'day. REAL messy LOL.

Sunday, I was dead. Not old. But I'm getting too old and taking too long to recover from days like that. :(.

Reading through the last few posts.
There seem's to be a common theme of English football fans equating a good trip with how much they were 'bevvied'?

Sadly not you know. Europe hasn't really appealed to me under Brendan and before him we weren't really in any european competitions. I was too young when Benitez was dominating europe but I did go to pretty much every home game during 2004-2007ish.

I'm sure if Scouse offers an away ticket with him I'll go though... ;)

Yeah unfortunately even the TV channels somehow miss the boycotts though. When Bayern didn't enter for the first 5 minutes of a match my mate on facebook was like "shocking supporters thought they were a big club" and I was just sat there shaking my head.

Because Dublin football fans are known for traveling the world and starting ****?

Fun fact you can go watch football, enjoy some ale, chant till your voice goes and not think your some kind of Danny Dyer top boy you know

Yeah we did an all dayer in York in pre season friendly was awesome. That is a nice little place to sink a few ales. But yeah I was in a mess by the end, and pretty much feel the same as you.
