He put his leg out to stop it, deserved and stupid booking. Don't know why players still do this, they KNOW it's a guaranteed yellow. Like when Smalling did it last year for a second yellow, utterly retarded.

OK. Thanks bro'. Appreciated.

It all happened so fast it looked like the Leicester player just put it down and blasted it at him. I'll look the highlights later.

Was it a penalty from Sakho on Mahrez?

To be sat (prior to the Southampton- Arsenal game) within 3 games of both City and Arsenal, well in the picture for the initial season aim of the top 4; with the semi's of the Lge Cup to look forward to and the FA Cup and Europe after that; after a real poor start to the season and far more average to bad performances than the other way is a great position to be in at half-way.

Hopefully we can add some better quality January as we continue to slowly build this through the second half of the year.

But even if we have to struggle through with the current group for the rest of the year, hey, we have the best manager in the league who will bring it back home over time. I have NO doubt about that. So everything above and beyond that is gravy.

Didn't see that situation tbh, or at least can't remember it.

Thanks mate. Hopefully it'll be on the highlights later. First half, they both went down in a tangle but it looked from behind the goal like Sakho had hold of his shirt and dragged him down with him. Wasn't a big protest like so I could be wrong.

'Hamstring is the **** word of the year for me ..... '

XD Another instant Klopp presser classic.

*Edit* Cue Anthony to tell us swearing isn't big or clever.

Mingolet has kept 15 clean sheets the league through 2015. More than any other PL 'keeper.

Another glaring example of how arbitrary stats in isolation without context are completely meaningless and can be manipulated to suit.

He continues to give me cancer as usual. Can't claim a corner. Doesn't know how to catch a ball, even the simple ones.

What absolutely baffles me is that we have no defender protecting him on corners and he's stuck with an opposition player.

If you're the keeper you ******* SCREAM at someone to get on you and push them away!!!! He couldn't command if he was playing the ******* sims.

How ******* good was Henderson?

The best TV program of the Holiday Season from the clubs own channel.

I won't dwell, but unless this man has been at your club you just never will understand the infectious, unwavering belief and excitement he brings. People from the outside continue to try pull that down. (Which we love as we've never really given a flying ____ what as a City, let alone a club, others think of us. It just makes the Liverpool family closer and we'll continue to do our thing.).

The City of Mainz knows. The City of Dortmund knows. And now the City of Liverpool knows.

Have yer Pep's, yer Simeone's and your (not so) 'Special One' et all. We have the best of the lot for us.

Now he's part of the family, we're only going to get stronger.

Enjoy reds:

Flanagan coming back for the U21's hope he can get back to his best hate to see young players get ravaged by injury.

Ta man. Yeah, got through 30 minutes unscathed.

Still a LONG way off a first team return but just fantastic to see him get through his first 30 minutes in 19 LONG months.

Our best defender by far in '13/'14, and always extra special to have a local lad on the pitch. Aside from the badly needed cover we've not had at FB. Fingers crossed that in another month or two he'll be back playing the PL.

Everyone says the local passionate player is a distinct breed, that Gerrard was the last of his kind, but people are forgetting about Flanagan. He's got the ability and is such a passionate player. Goes into every 50-50 challenge with full commitment.

Welcome back son.

Excellent. Brown and Coates at centre half. If we don't score at least 2 with those two complete clowns back there I give up.

Hopefully more of a 4-4-2 again with Firmino right up with Benteke, who needs to start moving his **** and building off Boxing Day.

Let's round out the year in style Redmen.

Well that was a **** poor first half against utter *****.

One great shot and save from a Firmino web who was otherwise anonymous. AGAIN. (Made the header an easy save too when he should be scoring.). The two Brazilians and Lallana creating absolutely zilch. (Someone want to tell Phil he is actually allowed to pass it into Beteke's feet instead of going for the Hollywood finish and getting nowhere near? That's getting REAL tiresome now.). And talking of, Benteke needs to get more involved and work harder.

Kick up the **** half time is sorely needed. Get Ibe on and I wouldn't mind Smith out the left either.

Need a BIG improvement second half Reds. Nowhere near good enough that first 45.

Other than that shocking miss from Benteke, how has he been today? Ive only seen from about 65 mins, but it looks like Klopps chat with him has worked. Thought he looked very mobile and played some good passes too

He improved second half. Pretty immobile the first but overall better.

Ugly win but a massive three points. Second round in a row we've taken advantage of others continued slips. Level with Utd.

Nothing else to say on that. Needs to improve ten fold going forward but I'll take the scummy win.

Happy NY boys.
