Suarez apology... Opened talks with Willian and a LB signing seems close to being completed

Rodgers and FSG have handled this brilliantly, not a bad day so far.

What LFC players does everyone have in their fantasy football team? I've got Coutinho, Johnson and Toure :)

Coutinho johnson and mignolet, got sturridge too but is he injured?

Should be fit enough to start tomorrow. Sturridge is a good shout. I've actually gone for Soldado, Lukaku and Altidore up top. Soldado cause I think Tottenhams first couple of fixtures should see him bag a couple, Lukaku cause I think he'll establish himself at Chelsea this season and also a couple of easy fixtures to get him going and then wild card Jozy Altidore who will most likely stand in for injured Steven Fletcher and I believe he'll do a good job doing it.

On the betfred fantasy football I just have sturridge but ill transfer in soldado after the match. On the premier league one I have soldado and bony

Mignolet and Coutinho in mine, both fairly cheap and based on preseason/last season should get some decent points.

Mignolet - Johnson - Toure - Agger - Enrique - Lucas - Gerrard - Henderson - Aspas - Coutinho - Sturridge

Near enough as expected.. surprised BR Has gone with Hendo, but it was deserved based on form at the end of last season... Big plus to have Sturridge back starting

We certainly made that a nervous last 10 minutes... dominated the game and deserved the win.

Fantastic penalty save from Mignolet at the end!

Good start, but very typical of our performances. Dominated the game, but found an opposition keeper in inspired form.

Mignolet looked a little dodgy in the first half, but fantastic double save from the peno

Yeah Mignolet question marks but he made up for it, Begovic fantastic, Lpool looking lively up front though, Cout/Strurridge will be fun to watch!

Nothing new learned really, but Toure looked excellent. Promising that Liverpool are producing without Suarez up front. Lucas my MOTM.

**** me mate, what a game. Could of easily been a comfortable scoreline for us but Begovic was outstanding for Stoke. Was an absolute nerve wrecking last 10 but what a debut for Mignolet, excellent save. These are the type of teams we need to beat if we want to get back into the top 4.

I'm a United fan.... but imagine Willian in this team........ cor blimey. Even I'd love to see that, just for entertainment in the Premier League.

I have to admit that was a brilliant stop from Mignolet. Like Ian Darke and Michael Owen were saying, it's almost like he knew Walters is pretty much guaranteed to go to his left/the keeper's right.

Very very entertaining season coming up for Liverpool i suspect.. sometimes that may not always be the best thing though

Add Willian and Suarez into that attacking force and we have one of the better attacking options in the league

Kolo Toure was really good also, very astute bit of business from BR on this deal

He always does, something like in his last 10 penalties he has always gone there apart from one where he went down the centre and hit the crossbar!

Great saves none the less, definitely saved Liverpool valuable points. Would of been very de-moralising for the team as well if they hadn't got for 3 points in this game. May pay dividends just from a mental state to the players this match can have on them continuing through the season, still early days though so can't get carried away.

Agreed, even though its the first day of the season that save and the 3 points gained was massive for us

Ah, the stereotypical over optimism of Liverpool fans.. Which will be shortly followed by the stereotypical pessimism after we lose to Villa 4-0 next week. :P

However, the prospect of signing Willian is very, very exciting.
