Looking at the season so far, i wouldn't like to predict any of the top 6 in the league come May

Yeah it's one of those seasons again. I suspect (fingers crossed) it's going to be one of those humdingers. Hope so as it's good for the league

So either City or Chelsea will finish top and the other will finish fourth?.. Ah, fantastic prediction.
 
Just seen the highlights. Looks like we had a good game again. Could have been more as always.

I think Hendo is looking absolutely quality right now. Ive been saying we need to find a replacement for Gerrard soon, but I think he is right in front of our eyes. That though ball with the outside of his foot for Suarez :wub:

That's na?ve thinking - it was a brilliant time for him to come on, regardless of Cardiff's threat. We were 3-0 up, and to be honest, we won comfortably in the end because Cardiff couldn't find a second. I do agree on the matter of Skrtel, though, although I do think he had a decent game, he was very tactical in his fouling and didn't make any real mistakes.

Henderson is great, but he needs to prove himself over the period of the whole season in my opinion. Sterling looks even better - it's exciting times, especially since we're winning with Gerrard and Sturridge out!

It was a great performance in the first half, but in the second half we got complacent and didn't really muster and chances. We were pretty poor defensively in the second half, and we weren't exactly solid in the first half either, so that's something that needs to be worked on. Skrtel and Johnson were probably the weak links, although I'm not sure who we'd have instead of those two, since the potential replacements aren't exactly brilliant themselves. I'm glad we're proving that a very-much-homegrown-youth-and-British side can do well, but I highly doubt we'll be anywhere near the title come May, purely because on our reliance of Su?rez. We do have on-form Henderson and Sterling, as well as the likes of the Sturridge and Coutinho, but I think we'll struggle against big teams (such as City), because they have the talent to deal with the others, so they can target Su?rez specifically. I'd love to be proven wrong though!

Next two games will say everything about if Liverpool actually do have any chance...

Chelsea and City have both looked vulnerable and we definitely have a chance, ill take 3/6 points now!

I think you're being a bit too optimistic, three points out of those two games would be wonderful - we aren't actually that good against the big teams (bar perhaps United and Spurs, who were both on bad runs). City don't look at all weak at home, and Chelsea aren't exactly doing bad to draw at Arsenal!

Personally I'm loving seeing Merseyside being back in the top 4 again. Been so long since I've seen a table like it and I'm loving it. People say I'm being far too optimistic going on about Everton being 2 points behind Liverpool-the league leaders and that anything can happen. But so what? Why can't we be optimistic for once?

Edit-forgot we dropped down 1 spot because of the Arsenal-Chelsea result lol

6 points is pushing it. Think we can beat Chelsea, anything off of City would be huge.
 
It's crazy we DO have a chance to win both games. But huge opportunities takes also great responsibilities. We can push for the win for both matchs, or due to this push we can end up scrapping loses. It's all about our mentality and whether we are ready to take such a task of winning everything or considering our options and compromise some of the points for the greater good.
 
Quite amusing considering people are making being top at Christmas a massive deal, when in fact after the City game there is a good chance we could be 5th.. its so competitive at the top
