They should sell him to Barca if they can still get a decent wedge from them! He is a liability and has serious issues!

A playing ban has not obviously worked in the past. He has done it 3 times now and been banned from playing 3 times so harsher measures have been handed out.

It hasn't obviously worked, which is why the ban has gone from 7 games to 10 games and now to four months

And if he does it again. Then what, six months ban. The only way Suarez will learn anything from this is if Liverpool clamp down on him instead of feeling they need to pamper to him. After the first two times he should of learned from it but obviously can't.

No, i agree they could have dealt with it better but it still doesn't discredit how petty FIFA are being

Don't disagree that some of it's petty, just don't he and LFC can't feel hard done by by the ban.

Genuine question.

Reports in media say Liverpool would accept an £80M bid for Suarez. Best realistic option to replace him if he left is (in my opinion) Alexis Sanchez.

If Barcelona offered you £40M + Alexis Sanchez would you take it?

Apparently Liverpool want 50m + Alexis or 80m upfront

I would be tempted to accept that, but would also ask the question regarding Pedro as well

Think more to the point in all of this, would Sanchez want to leave Barca and be forced to be part of a negotiation to go to one club when he'll have a whole host interested in him?

I'm a Liverpool fan and I'm split. On one hand, he is wrecking the image of the club and we could get money and Sanchez or Pedro if it is Barca. On the other hand, he IS the best natural ST in the world... :-/

Same here mate, I would respect what Rodgers decides from the now but it does need some real long hard thinking before any decision is made. I wouldn't be too disappointed if we did cash in and used correctly (even though we can't seem too) or even if we keep him to tear up the league once more.

Well Luis Enrique has already made it clear he can leave if a club comes in for him so I don't see why not. Plus with Suarez coming in his playing time would be even more limited.

I'm an Everton fan, and if he played for Everton, and all this was happening I'd cash in. It's tarnishing the image of the club, and with the sort of money the club would get it would be of massive benefit. Tbh I wouldn't see too much of an issue of attracting very high calibre players either as there's a guarantee of Champions League football. Not to mention aswell the talent that's coming through the ranks and the way they played their football last season and where they finished.

Sanchez seems as good as gone... According to most sources in Spain that was decided before the World Cup and Balague has confirmed Liverpool and Juventus both have offers on the table

However, Juventus are struggling to agree a fee and also cannot compete with Liverpool in terms of wages

I still don't think anyone can rule out Bayern making a move for Sanchez yet.

Why don't we just take the £3,200,000 Suarez is supposed to earn and give it to Sanchez to make him join. :P

I do hope somebody lodges legal action against FIFA. I would have thought something like a 4 year international ban from all FIFA competitions would have been suffice. Oh well.

Lots of Liverpool fans seem to be annoyed that they are being affected for what happened with Suarez whilst he was on international duty, and thus not under their control. That is an issue of culpability. Now, even if you ignore the fact that your club's actions have arguably exasperated Suarez' lack of discipline (Joel has covered that nicely), the problem is that one doesn't have to be culpable for an employee's actions to suffer indirect consequences. That is part of having someone on your payroll. Think about it this way: your company employs someone to do an important role. He's also employed part time delivering pizzas somewhere else. It's something he does for his family's business and he could get out of it if he really needed to, but people would frown upon his cynicism. One night, he is caught drink driving whilst on his pizza delivery job. He is banned from driving for a time.

Do you go to the police and tell them that he should only be banned from driving at the job he was caught drink driving at, that he should only be banned from specific driving related activities because otherwise it would be harmful to your business? No, of course not, nor would you argue that the police are unfairly punishing you. Now, I might have some sympathy for you if this was the first time but it's not. This guy has been caught drunk behind the wheel multiple times now. You, as an employer, are being indirectly punished for continuing to deal with someone that you know is at risk of re-offending. You are more than happy to be in a high risk/high reward situation when the latter is the prominent part, so don't moan when the risk part comes back to bite you in the ***.

if Barca let Sanchez go to anyone else but us, I'd just tell them to **** off away from Luis then tbh.

Markovic, Lallana, and Sanchez is luis goes.

It's alright saying that but Sanchez might not want to go to Liverpool. He will have a say as well.

If Sanchez is being pushed out at Barcelona, I struggle to think of a better option for him than Liverpool. It would be absolutely perfect for him
