Really hope Henderson is given the vice-captaincy role now Agger has gone. Don't think i've seen a player improve so quickly having been labelled a flop

Surely their are more senior players around? Not saying Hendo isn't deserving but he is a new face after all

Who is a senior face now that is also a guaranteed starter? very young squad and cant think of anybody that deserves it as much as him

Added he has been here for three years and made over 100 appearances, hardly a new face

Townsend and Dembele have been very poor. A long way to go for this Spurs side ....

Aye but always better to see him get a good season under his belt before throwing on added responsibility. Do you lot even need a vice captain? Mourinho hasn't appointed one at Chelsea

He had that last year haha... Not sure if Rodgers will announce one or not

As much as i have backed Glen Johnson, that back four is definitely the first choice going forward. And it came around due to injuries, funny that.

I think vice captains are irrelavent tbh. Look at Fletcher with us Vice Captain, once everyone fit he wont be near the starting 11.

Last season? He's been here three years now which is more than most of our starting line up today. He's already used to giving out orders from Rodgers, wouldn't surprise me if he does get given it.

It was the most complete Liverpool performance this season. Good bench as well now. Clean sheet plus both full backs look tremendous.

Think it is safe to safe Borini refusing to leave has cost us getting Loic Remy.. It just shows the initial 'failed a medical' stories were nonsense

Yeah tbh I was surprised as well. Mourinho mentioned how Chelsea had spoken to specialists who said he was perfectly fine to play football. I can't imagine why his condition would only bother Liverpool out of all the clubs he has played for. A bit idiotic of Liverpool to use the medical as an excuse though ...

An important win today to put the city result behind us. Not only we were successful but we did it in style.

I would be a little bit more if Sterling could finish that amazing run. Also a fantastic Moreno who came forward from a not so good debut.

I wouldn't say Idiotic personally - they needed an excuse and couldn't really say they were pulling out because of Borini. Protecting the player

Although personally i would have signed Remy regardless and let Borini decide then. Balotelli, Remy, Sturridge and Lambert would have been some striker options

Glen Johnson out the squad and we play fantastic and not concede.

Where have all these sources come from? I thought we moved on from Remy. Hadn't heard of him since the deal broke down.

I wouldn't get too excited - the defence played well but spurs had two or three fantastic chances

What do you mean sources? we agreed everything for Remy and then pulled out last minute when Borini didn't want to go to Sunderland and blamed it on a failed medical.

Chelsea come in and sign him without any problems

I think if you signed Remy, Borini would of left anyways once he signed. Hes basically shafted Pool on this one.
