Worst performance under Rodgers and possibly for a few years before that as well. Villa superb but just hope the FA take action against Senderos.. No place for that

i think rodgers is still trying to figure out where to place balotelli in the formation. He is trying to give him a new role on the wings but i don't see that working well... only if sturridge is on the line up that could work with those two changing frequently roles as center for and wingers... because markovic and coutinho today are both clearly wingers so when balotelli was on the sides nobody was on the top....

You could've sent off three Villa players and tasered Brad Guzan in the bollocks and Liverpool still wouldnt have managed to muster up a decent goal threat.

Like I mentioned before, there was a reason Milan fans were overjoyed with Balotelli leaving them... he's a liability a lot of the time. May produce an odd moment of magic but more often than not, is a non-event.

I think Remy or Bony would of been a much better option, obviously early days but Balotelli IMO compromises everything about the Liverpool team and the team-spirit/work ethic.

I didn't watch the game yesterday so I wouldn't know but did Balotelli do something stupid? All I heard was that Senderos absolutely mauled Balotelli and Liverpool were a non-event attacking wise which is incredibly surprising

Imo, Remy perhaps more reliable as a player but Balotelli has way more talent if he applies himself properly

Senderos was very lucky tbh! Balo was non existent though like many of his games tbh. Liverpool were poor attacking wise, no idea why Sterling was rested. Liverpool have a better squad but not quality imo. Suarez quality will be sorely missed this season!

Balotelli didn't do anything stupid surprisingly, as much as Villa tried to get a reaction

I think it shown the difference the Spurs Balotelli and Villa Balotelli. He cannot lead the line on his own due to his lack of movement. A striker beside him is needed and in that formation i think it will turn out a very good signing however yesterday didn't help that we had Sturridge and Sterling missing and started three new players in the attacking positions

However, I was very excited about the Remy deal and was surprised it fell through for whatever reason. Either way it's very early days for Balotelli

Anyone is bound to miss Suarez quality but add Sturridge and Sterling into the line up and that more than compensates

Any team in the world won't be able to replace a player of Suarez' quality mate. Nonetheless, I still think Liverpool retain some real quality up front. Sturridge has developed into a fantastic player along with Sterling. Markovic is extremely talented and has immense potential. Coutinho is quality. Balotelli is also very dangerous if he applied himself properly

I think when Sturridge comes back, Balotelli's play will improve as well. He could have easily bagged a brace against Spurs if he was a bit more clinical

Sorry mate but I disagree. Yes it would have been better! But Suarez will make the difference in those kind of games, I don't think the other 2 do as of yet. But Sterling will defo get to that level if his development continues at this rate! Still no idea why was rested? Not convinced on Balo what so ever.

Last season them players were there, but was Suarez that dragged them through these types of games. I think they went for quantity and potential over quality. Still think they will be there abouts top 4 though.

Im not too worried when they both play, we will beat the majority of sides but it is when they're missing such as yesterday. I can see why Sterling was rested. Two games for England, a game yesterday and then CL on Tuesday but we needed him really

I agree on Balotelli it will take some getting used to but i seen enough against Spurs to suggest it will work when its suited - as i mentioned i cant see Balotelli being very useful when asked to play up front on his own

this season gives Sterling and sturridge in particular the chance to step up and Sterling has already shown improvement with added responsibility in the team

add Lallana, Markovic, Coutinho and Balotelli to those two and we still have one of the best attacking units around
