depressing we didn't match Spurs' fee for Lamela, he's not even going for much too. Sad when Spurs of all teams are adding quality after quality player, and we're signing decent players for low fees.

Don't think we ever made a bid nor did we even confirm any interest in him. Good player though and at £12m, he's worth a punt.
 
Even though we wanted a LW to compliment Coutinho, Eriksen at his age, potential and price really should be looked at

Similar price to that of Coutinho due to only having a year left on his contract
 
Apparently Sky Italia have said Roma have gave up trying to sign Sakho because we are close to signing him?


seems a bit difficult to believe, but I hope it's true.
 
So Sakho and Yarmolenko are the reported interests today

Di marzia reports we are ahead of Roma in the race for Sakho and have tabled a 19.7m bid for Yarmolenko. Good stuff
 
Any opinions on that Yarmolenko lad? I think I saw his name somewhere a few years ago as an upcoming young striker, not sure. Haven't seen him nor Konoplynka(^^) )in action. Am not that excited. :S
 
Nothing in the Yarmalenko reports from what I can tell. £20m is way way overpriced for him too.

Plays either wing or behind striker, great feet, pretty solid goalscoring record, basically what is needed.
 
Would like him at LFC.. but for 20mil its too much, especially considering he only has 1 year left on his contract

quite hard to believe that if we are paying that much why did we not enter for Lamela or pay that extra for Willian?
 
8m seems pretty steep, would have preferred Sakho in all honesty. Still another signing that is not first team though

if Sakho joined wow that would be class when Toure is back, Agger, Toure and Sakho + Coates and Skrtel who are injured that is a very strong bunch of centre backs just need another winger now shame about Lamela and Willian !
 
If Ilori and Sakho joined, I could see Skrtel going to Napoli. Dunno if anyone else thinks that?

Sakho, Ilori, Agger, Toure, Skrtel and Coates (even though injured) seems rather over kill for defenders

Wisdom will be going out on loan if we sign those 2. Skrtel I don't think will leave this season.

Agger, Toure, Skrtel, Sakho & a 20 y/o defender. I don't think Ilori will play much of a part this season. Still very young.
