Hahaha.

Starting Allen instead of Sturridge cost us the game, and it still baffles me as to why Brendan did it. Sometimes you just look at a managers decision and think why the **** they did it.

I'm pretty sure Sturridge had a knock/was jaded.

I'd start a one legged Sturridge over a three legged Allen.
Nice ;) seriously though, Allen isn't that bad, yes, his miss was very bad in the derby, but he's generally a decent player who just doesn't really get enough of a chance to break into the team (partly because he's not really the type of player we're lacking in the team at the moment)!

I've never rated him. He doesn't bring anything to the team. All he does is do **** pointless passes to our cb's or gives away fouls in dangerous areas. And I'm one that sticks with players and supports them, god knows how many grey hairs I've got from pulling through the Henderson saga, but Allen just isn't doing it for me.

Should've took Diame when we had the chance.

Diam?'s arguably better, but he's not always been as good as he is now. Also, Allen's younger and is a better player to fit into Brendan Rodger's passing system.

Met Jamie Carragher today really nice bloke just a bit hard to understand though at times :p

Lucky *******! :P

Haha was at the sky sports studio as I went to see Saturday night football live. Nobody was aloud to have pictures with him in the studio but once it was finished he was generous enough to stay behind and allow everybody to get a picture :)

Diame is very inconsistant, in and out of the West Ham team recentley

Allen was our best player first 3 months and has then been plagued with injuries, give him time... look how many doubted Henderson... he may be a simple player but all sides trying the style of football we play needs sometime like that. works hard too

Had a bad feeling after the first few minutes in this game, and now its got even worse. We were struggling to break Hull down, and now they have scored, its only going to get harder.

Dominated the game, very lucky strike for Hull's goal but we lack creativity and a threat in attack

Hardly surprising given Sturridge injury and Coutinho fitness.. Moses and Sterling such a step down from them two

Ouch, just been let down by mistakes we weren't exactly awful. Kick on for the next game.

Its quite amusing because we were poor BUT a massive deflected goal and an own goal was the difference

The usual overreaction has begun though

It's not a massive disaster, but it really does highlight our lack of squad depth. Obviously, every team has key players, but once our key players get injured, the whole team seems to crumble.

Of course it's going to be a bit of a struggle when you miss your talisman, I'm sure United, Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal etc would suffer without key players the most important thing is how the players react from this.

we already knew this though, we had to go to at least january with all key players really and we've not had the best of luck with Sturridge and Coutinho
